Well being the odd man out, I'd have to disagree and say that Chevy's blue is one of their more interesting colors. I liked the ABM for the first year; Chevy should have done a better job in marketing the color. IBM was around for a little while, but BRM really caught my attention. It is a moody color, and handled right it really can bring out the body lines of the Camaro (even if I am biased).

I would like to see more medium blue colors offered for their next Camaro.

BTW...I think the folks who are posting how this is a pointless thread are skipping over all the other posts of people who are actually chiming in on the topic, and contributing to the discussion.

Color blind people love blue cars, don't like red/orange/green/yellow. Maybe it has something to do with how your eyes work.
That is an interesting thought, that the color preference is tied your ability to perceive the colors.

But I agree that with darker blues, it is too close to black for me. It, to me, looks more like not-black-enough than really-dark-blue.

There have been numerous threads/discussions about the blues that have been offered for the 5th gen Camaro. I haven't been exactly thrilled with any of the choices but went with IBM. To me IBM, BRM, and the latest blue all look the same. The hottest blue I've seen is the C7s Laguna Blue!

I was like. DAD ARE YOU TROLLING ME SUPER HARD RIGHT NOW OR COMPLETELY SERIOUS?

Meh, some people like dark color muscle cars, some people like crazy color muscle cars. I think both are great.

Camaros look good in any color.
This should piss your Dad off. Our 1969 Camaro is painted a 80's Corvette blue. I think it looks great!

I have always thought dark blue looks terrible on any car. I do like the new vette blue though. But I'm with you, blue just doesn't twiddle my fiddle : )

It's all personal preference, I have owned probably every color imaginable, my favorites have always been reds and blues, my least favorites have been silver, brown and black.

Some people like blondes, other like redheads or brunettes. The good thing about it is, there are enough of them out there to be able to pick what you want. Camaros are no different. Blue is fine with me. I'd rather drive a blue Camaro then any Dodge.

It seems so funny to me that people get SOOOOoooooo butthurt over an opinion thread. C'mon, like this thread is any more stupid than some of the other threads. If I had a nickel for the number of stupid threads started on Camaro5, I'd own every color and model of Camaro.

OP doesn't like the blue colors. So what? I happen to mostly agree with him on his assessment. It's not that I'm bashing a Camaro for being blue or its owner for owning a blue- I'm just stating an opinion. That's far different from bashing.

But the only two blues that were worth a flip, IMO, was the ABM and Hot Wheels edition. And GM set ABM up for failure in their color palettes. The rest of them are ok, but I would NEVER choose them for my own car. Go ahead and hate on the yeller and CRT colors. Start a thread on it. I don't give a flying f**. It's your opinion and I can't recall asking you for it when I chose my car colors. And you shouldn't care what anyone thinks when picking stuff for your own cars.

Whoever said the blues would be "in demand" later on...I respectfully disagree. They may be rarer colors, but demand will have to do more with options/features than color.

Get compliments all the time on mine.. feels good driving ABM cause every time I see a Camaro it isnt the same color as mine. Maybe 1/100 so far.

Thanks for the supportive post.

If there was a color that we might be able to predict would be in demand down the line, I'd think it would be pre-refresh yellow with (factory) black rally stripes. Just because this generation will likely be known as "The Bumble Bee Camaro". Just like there are other color options for the 1978 Trans Am, the most desired is the factory Bandit color package.

I almost ended up in a 2011 1SS/RS with no sunroof and 10k more miles than my 10' 2SS/RS with sunroof, because it was IBM. The color is that awesome. Just my 2 cents, though.

So many threads I see people say this is a useless thread, or shouldn't be here. The same people that say those things usually don't start threads themselves or have anything interesting to say.

Well..... do you want this site to be like that other 5th generation Camaro site? You know, the one that it takes 5 days for a thread to fall off the first page?
