My honest opinion that it is mostly people just looking for something to complain about, not that the Camaro has the visibility of lets say a city bus.

At the end of the day more consumers liked the look then people really found the car impossible to see out of.

A lot of cars today have bad sight lines. My wife's Mazda CX5 was awful and if it wasn't for the blind spot monitoring it would have been a nightmare to drive. The C7 is worse than the Camaro in that regard.

A lot of sporty vehicles over the years have had poor visibility, stylist want beautiful cars while engineers want usable cars.

Lamborghini Countach has super poor visability....
Early third generation Corvette had poor visibility....

It really just seems to be in more modern times when people complained about this as much as some do. Sporty cars are a balance of beauty, performance, and usability with emphasis on performance and beauty on cars like the Mustang, Camaro, and Corvette (and a whole lot more).

When you go to buy an economy car (often called econobox) things like fuel economy and usability come front and center. When I purchased an economy car I ended up getting a Sonic hatch, they are small fit in a small place and yet have tons of room inside.

If I am buying a car like a Camaro or a Corvette I am buying something with different attributes then an economy car. Style and performance is the big appeal here, even if that means that usability and economy gets sacrificed. Sure it is great if I can buy a car like this without sacrificing economy for example but it isn't a make or break proposition....

Yea, I know but what surprised me is that some ppl on this forum said that they had traded in their Camaro because the seeing out of it was so bad! And I was thinking after hearing that why would you spend that much money on something that you didn't know or already knew had problems that you didn't like!

The 2015 Mustang is no Honda civic when it comes to visibility.....

Is it relatively better then the Camaro? maybe (I have yet to sit in the 2015 model year car) however that doesn't mean it has perfect visibility. I do know that just by looking at the design of the car the hood looks longer, the car is lower, and the way the rear glass comes down probably will take away some visibility compared to the out going model.

But then again the Mustang is going to get compared to the Challenger and Camaro and not to the Civic so it doesn't matter how it compares to the civic... its all relative...
