My retired neighbor has a 1980 280zx, a 2800lb car...with a 383 stroker swap putting down around 450-500 rwhp...says its funny when vettes pull up next to him at a stoplight.

"imports" can be very fast haha. Now this guy does also own a 2014 Z51 C7 vert, so we get along pretty well.

But yeah my V8 got smoked by a old turbo civic one day, all I could do is rub my paint to let him know "Atleast my car isnt a rust bucket"

Yup, I take it as a compliment. I used to love to race cars way out of my league, just to see it run. It was a blast when you'd get someone in a high powered car to just take off. Then you catch up and give them the thumbs up.

I've had maybe 80 different performance cars since the 1970's... Nobody has tried to race me yet, on the street; ricer or otherwise. :(

I had another one do it again today. I went and got new brake pads put on and on the way home a mitsubishi eclipse started revving his engine at me. The body was cracked in the front and his exhaust rattled like it was barely holding on. I was just sitting in the parking lot minding my own business will the wife went to get some shipping labels at the local Staples store. O well I guess ill have to go get that Hellion TT kit and new exhaust. LOL
