Wonder if the torque management thing is worse on the autos? Idk if it's true but I believe you and Gretchen are both autos correct?

Yep both autos, this is really a non issue on the street except the inability to do a burnout. I really wanted to celebrate the new turbos with a giant burnout... was a little bummed when I couldn't, but probably for the better or I'd already be needing new rear tires lol.

Man twin turbos and not being able to do a burnout that would kill me! Lol back to the topic, DGM did you get your 3.91 gears broken in yet? How you liking them?

Also at WOT it feels like my throttle isn't opening all the way until after 40mph or so just like GretchenGotGrowl's car. I really need to have it dyno tuned by someone that knows how to get this throttle/torque management issue resolved. That is what is killing my 60ft times. Even with no tire spin I can only do a 2.125 60ft when I'm running a 12.2 at 117mph. I should be deep into the 11's with that trap speed!

I belive if you turn off the vsc and tc it can go up to 7K I mean. That's how My Burnouts are done and no turbos for me lol

Yes broken in and feels great, i have a couple of spots where there are nice turns, where i would accel out of turn in 2nd. With gears and tune added i can get just about the same response in 3rd. Im curious ~if we had done a final dyno run with Vitesse hooked up would it had made any difference?

Vtc isn't supposed to add any horsepower I thought ? Only help you reach peak power faster

I wish it was that easy... no it's in the tune, it won't let me even with tc button held down for 8 secs and all nannies off.

Nice burnout though!

I would say no.

And yeah it's crazy how a set of gears can really wake up a heavy car and make it feel lighter. Glad your liking them.

In regards to tuning listen to Mace/SVS 100%, they know what they are doing.

Very glad to see that this tuner here in the U.S. and SVS may be willing to work together on this. It will complicate things, but in the end could be a huge win for us.

DGM...if there is some "magical" method of tuning these cars that you end up doing (such as idling the car for so long in between runs) be sure and post up the details.

So does this mean we would have to go to the tuner in Florida to tune these cams??? Or can we remote tune them?

I'm sure it can be remote tuned.

I don't believe remote tuning cams is a good idea...you'll want to tune cams on the dyno and get it done right.

I guess it is possible that if a very solid tune is created for these specific cams, and you install the same cams, then a remote canned tune could be done, but I don't see it happening.

What I see happening is this tuner in Florida learns how to properly tune for these cams using existing software (like HP Tuner) for tuning the LFX. Then you find a local experienced HP Tuner in your area, and hopefully they can worth with either this guy in Florida, or with SVS as well. Over time, this knowledge spreads until it is available more widely.

That said, I don't see cams for the V6 becoming hugely popular, even if this does turn out to be very successfully, so that number of good tuners for LFX cams will likely always be pretty small.

That's my .02

Watching closely. I have a set of the Mace cams yet to install as I may go FI, and Phil from Tampa Tuning is doing the tune either way.
