BkinBlk : You might learn that “You can please some of the people all of the time, you can please all of the people some of the time, but you can’t please all of the people all of the time”.

Frankly, I think you are wrong..

- to seek to negotiate shipping on small value orders, that do not cover their handling
- to suggest that you know the costs of making a FARK kit (I do, as I am electronic componentry sales engineer), as the minimum order quantities on the OEM connectors are many years stockholding

You have adopted your position and I expect you won't ever change, but I think you are wrong to dissuade others from supporting the supplier due to your baseless opinions.

are u really complaining over $14?

Is the FARK harness priced ridiculously of course, but its really the only product on the market that is intended what its suppose to do. Steve knows this and sees a nice profit from it I'm sure. Demand is high for his products nothing u can do about it. Either buy his products or not. Pretty simple.

I thought more of this forum's members (Not all member's are bad and I am in no way saying they are, just certain ones). I started this thread detailing my service, or lack there of, and it has cascaded into me being called names...."clown boy". And I have said, that if you choose to buy from them, more power to you. I choose not to. I have said how I think they are overpriced and a chosen few have come out to prove me wrong. Guys/Gals....this is MY opinion of this company. Get over it. AGAIN...PURCHASE IF YOU LIKE, I WILL NOT BE.

"You have adopted your position and I expect you won't ever change, but I think you are wrong to dissuade others from supporting the supplier due to your baseless opinions." My baseless opinions? Read the start of this thread. He DID NOT EVER, EVER return my emails or calls. Baseless? I don't think so. That is POOR SERVICE!

CMRacing, I won't stoop to your level, but if you are happy paying $4000 for two weeks of meds, then so be it! My point was just that...just because they can charge that much, DOES NOT make it right.

Now I haven't read this WHOLE thing, but just the past few statements re: pricing I have a comment. Not to beat a dead horse or to be a douchebag...

Being a business owner myself, one that fabricates crazy things to make crazy ideas work, etc....

You have to take into consideration that FARK is a niche product. You ARE by nature going to pay more for it. That what's so great about a capitalist economy. Ingenuity, it's what America used to be all about. You also pay for the intangibles with the product which is the ingenuity, research, etc involved. It's not just some wires with plastic connectors. Yah, he coulda just fab'd it all up and said here for $30 + a flat rate small box and I hope this works for ya. No, he actually methodically engineered a product that takes HOURS of time to do this process WITHOUT the adapters and actually does it correctly. Like they say, you could possibly have it done cheaper at your buddy's car stereo shop. Just don't be surprised when you get pulled over for polluting and making the roadway unsafe when your rear end is on fire.

Sub Thump Harness

Ordered a harness from Sub Thump to hook up a subwoofer/amp combo to the factory amp on Wednesday 6/3. Paid $100 total to have it overnighted. Did not arrive on Thursday 6/4. UPS tracking information says no delivery information check back later even though the latest "scan" update shows a destination scan at the local delivery location at 6AM on Thursday 6/4. Contacted UPS who had someone from that same location call me and basically say those scans are fake and that there was no physical scan at that location and they have no idea where the shipment is. They said wait until the next day and see what happens. Next day Friday 6/5 still no change in the tracking status. At this point I am assuming UPS has lost the shipment. This is the 2nd overnight shipment UPS has screwed up in the last week. Will never use them again given the choice, which I was not at Sub Thump - Steve said the only way he could ship it out overnight that day was via UPS. Now the car is sitting with all the equipment installed and hooked up but not working because there is no harness. Steve said he is out today and won't submit a claim with UPS until Monday which could take ages. I am now out $100 out of pocket with no product and a broken install. No reply if another one is going to be shipped out to me or what is going to be done to resolve this. I need to get this install completed ASAP. Cutting and splicing into the factory wires is NOT an option with this install. Are there any alternatives to this harness out there or does anyone have one they'd be willing to part with in the Chicagoland area? Frustrating situation. Thanks.

I would be frustrated at UPS. They have lost a few packages of mine as well. Claim takes awhile with UPS. May have to buy another one until it get settles.

Yes I definitely am frustrated with UPS more than anything. I tried to avoid using them but was unable to at the time under the circumstances. UPS says it takes 2 weeks for a claim investigation which may not even turn up anything. I tried emailing Steve to see if I could just purchase another one but with him being out today I don't think anyone else is there to ship out new orders today, and you can't get expedited shipping unless you contact them and speak with them first and I did not hear back. Unfortunately it looks like nothing will be done until next week at the earliest which will cause great disappointment. Not what you want when installing a new system that costed hundreds. Having it all sitting there looking pretty with everything else ready and hooked up is surely torture. I tried posting a new thread here and searching everywhere but it looks like these are next to impossible to find anywhere other than ordering directly from Sub Thump.

The harness was ordered the same day as all the other system components as soon as everything was decided on, however knowing it might take longer I ordered the harness with next day air shipping while everything else was ordered with free ground shipping...everything else arrived quickly just fine and is already hooked up and installed, yet now the system is just sitting dead for an unclear amount of time in limbo due to no harness...just goes to figure that the only thing I spent 3x the money on to have sent expeditiously with extra care is the only part that doesn't arrive...that's supposed to be the whole point of offering these types of services...

So UPS eventually "found" the package, of course 15 minutes after they closed at 7:30 PM on Friday even though it was filed as a lost package with a serach initiated at 9 AM, then the horrible local UPS Customer Center (where you are supposed to be able to pickup your undelivered packages) full of horrible reviews on Google is inexplicably closed on Saturday and then of course on Sunday as well so there was no way to get the package other than wait for it to be delivered 4 days late on Monday. Then this morning it doesn't even say "Out for Delivery" on the tracking like it should so it looked like it wasn't even being delivered until it magically showed up at the building unannounced. Absolutely ridiculous process with UPS. Never again.

Steve replied to me as soon as he got back late Friday night and was willing to send out another harness on Saturday until I told him that UPS "found" the package and to not bother. Steve also refunded me the additional fees I paid him for the expedited overnight shipping. As of today I finally have the system hooked up and it works great. The Sub Thump harness is an excellent piece of hardware.

Just an FYI update as well. I just received my Oracle side marker lights, shipped by UPS. This box is three times larger than the FARK box and it cost $5.43 to ship. I think some people on this forum will twist their words (lie) to look right no matter what. If you like, I will post a picture of the bill with the shipping and handling bill of $5.43.

"I ship stuff everyday from my business, there is NOTHING less than $7.00 a pound, NOTHING! I use UPS and Fed Ex. I get special rates due to the volume I do. No way are you paying so little, no way." What do you have to say now cmracing? How about, "Sorry, I was wrong"?
