I think the new Gen6 is a sweet ride and Chevy did an awesome job. I also love my Z and am very happy with it. I see no reason to trade to the new model just for the sake of having a new model. I'll gladly admire the Gen6 while loving and enjoying my Gen5 Z/28. If I didn't have my Z, yep, I'd be in line for the Gen6.

After seeing the 6th gen reveal I realized I love my 5th gen even more. My wife, kids, and brother in law thought it was the new genesis.
I know the interiors of the 5th gen re nothing to get too excited about but that's not why I bought the Camaro in the first place. I buy a muscle/performance car for what's under the hood. I also saw the 5th gen as a solid platform to build on with mods because I always mod my cars. To be completely honest I don't need gobs of technology, I need power, good sounding exhaust and a decent stereo and I'm happy. Throw on a cool inferno orange metallic paint job and I'm over the moon happy. But the 6th gen doesn't even have an orange any more so I'm out. |

I haven't done all these Mods for nothing , Keeping mine forever , The 6th might be a possibility someday V8 only on that gen , I do not like what they have done with the looks of the V6 and would never consider a 4 banger . SS looks the best .

I never understood why this happens to people. What is wrong with liking BOTH? I will never ever get rid of my SS but I really dig the 6th gen too. I am seriously considering getting a V6 in the new generation and using my 2014 as a weekend toy. It's as if they feel threatened or something over something that is new and quicker.
If you don't like it because of how it looks or whatever then that is fine, but don't hate because it improves on what you already have. Solution? Mod your current 5th gen and make it even more beastly than the new car

Well and truly planted in the 5th gen group. No intentions of changing.

Apparently I'm the only one in the Nation that doesn't like the huge fish-mouth front ends. Every new car seems to be getting worse each year.
Most all the "new" front ends look like a heavy equipment front end loader. On the Camaro, every year, the upper grill gets smaller and the lower grill gets bigger. Maybe that's what everybody likes, but not me. Of course I don't like "wagon wheels" either. We worked for years to get tires on cars so the ride would be decent. Now everybody wants wagon wheels with a rubber band around them. As soon as my original tires are worn out, I'll be going to smaller wheels. Anybody want to buy my brand new 20" wheels and Pirelis? My Camaro5 will be my last new car for a while.

I'll have to see it in person. Based on its shortened length and sports car design interior if it says Camarxus instead of Camaro then no.

I like them both. I can only have one at a time though, so I'm going to use up the 2010 before getting a sixth, or maybe by then, a seventh gen.

If only there was some way I could have the tech and interior of the 6th gen, and the body of the 5th gen, specifically 2011-2013 I would be SOooooo happy...

I think the 6th gen looks cool and I really want to get some drive test articles in soon!
Still, my 5th gen was my car, built for me, and I love her. 5th gens dead? LOL NO WAY!
