I have 2007 Corvette Coupe, with HUD (Head Up Display), I opted to not have nav, but 6 disc, in dash, changer. I agree Nav systems are a waste of space and money.

I KNOW WHERE WAL-MART IS SHUT UP B**CH. I don't think it will look good with a nav and i think navs are a waste i hope they don't try to squeeze one in.

You know I realised after I voted that while I think that it will have nav but that I don't want it that I was...actually not being truthful there. If it comes with nav standard or nicely integrated I'll take it. What I don't want is a big LCD screen mucking up my dasboard. I don't generally need nav for finding my way around but they do have one great purpose: speed camera warning.

We've been told a thousand times how great this car is going to be. I expect GM is so confident because the Camaro will contain the best parts available for the class that GM intends to dominate with our next pony car. At the same time, using the best equipment means the cost will skyrocket with every option due to the need to perpetuate those options for every car. Have you ever noticed that cars without all of the options still have button placements on the dash or plastic inserts where the console should be plain? Every car needs to be made ready for options, making the process to make the car longer and the expense higher. As a result of top model Camaros having every option from navigation to a HUD available, bottom end Camaros will cost more. Additionally, GM has to keep these products in stock in case of a warranty replacement, driving up the expense of those being installed. If nav screens are installed in some Camaros, GM has to pay Garmin to build thousands of extra units that must be stored in a facility that costs GM money to use. That all gets covered by the price of the car.
In summary, navigation is a cool feature, but it is expensive for owners and non-owners. In effect, I would recommend GM only consider navigation at the expense of another unnecessary option. As rumor has it, the Camaro will already feature a large ensemble of GMPP options, in addition to sunroofs, a convertible, a high-performance model that may require a different engine and suspension setup, vinyl packages, and a large number of unique interior components—old-style seat belts, for instance—that will not likely appear in other cars. All of these existing options will make a cheap Camaro a tight squeeze for a car company that has faced billions in losses as a result of strikes this year. Offering navigation just doesn't make sense if GM intends to keep the price tag low. At the same time, though, I'd be delighted to see GM prove me wrong.

i dont think gm will put a nav screen in...i think they are trying to get more people to use on-star turn by turn navigation...and i think it's a good idea because if there is a screen it could become a distraction where with the on-star it's just one button and you get hands free driving so yeah i doubt it
