My first Camaro was in 98. My life talked me into trading it in 2003 because she believed that I was too "mature" to have a car like that. Thanks to the movie Transformers, my second Camaro SS came to me in November 2011. I'm now 50 years old and never been happier. I told my wife to bury me in "Christine"

Congrats on the SS. I bought my 1st Camaro and first brand new car at 21. Now in my 50's just got my 2nd in October, an SS. I missed my American Muscle car.

My son and I went and bought ours without telling the old lady. She was pissed until she drove it. We both love her now.

Bought my Camaro when I was 68. The people that made the "Mid-Life Crisis" comments didn't know me when I had my '61 Impala SS Convertable, or my '69 Road Runner. When I hear such comments, I just smile. It's just not worth trying to explain. Besides, I'm a ways past mid-life!

Have owned Camaros & Corvettes since my 20s; anyone who knows me, knows my owning them now (55) has nothing to do with any kind of mid-life crises.

For those that don't know me and may think that, it's a simple case of mind over matter ... I don't mind 'cause they don't matter

Is it your money? Do what you want with it!

I've owned a Camaro in some way since I was 17. Be it some sort of beater we worked on to race, or something I was restoring. I just bought my latest at 43. A 1LE which I make no apologies for. I drive it as it was intended to be driven, and could really care less what anyone else thinks about me or the car. I'll be on my 12th track day this year. So as far as i'm concerned I've paid for the car, and the amount of proper instruction I feel is required to move this thing around a track.

Or in a shorter way. You be you, and enjoy being you.

There's no such thing as a mid-life crisis. Its just around that age people tend to have some excess cash laying around and finally decide to buy what they have always wanted. I was 24 when I bought mine as a present to myself for graduating with my Masters Degree in Architecture. Figured since I spent a majority of my life thus far, working my ass off and sacrificing time and money into my education, that I deserved whatever the hell I wanted haha. Like others on here have said, you cant take the money with you when you die so you might as well spend everything

You only live once. Do for yourself what others won't do for you. If you can afford it, why not?

What's a mid life crisis????

My first car was a Camaro at 17, 30 years later I have a new one..... But in between I've had 12 other vehicles in my possession. As well as owning two motorcycles, bought my first bike 8 years ago and the second one two years ago, still got both of them.

Is this a mid life crisis? LOL
