Anyway, I just got off the phone with Hurst and I was calling to see if they did installs and the guy says No. I said, well, a guy from cam5 said you installed his a few days ago. He says, oh yeah, we did that for the install video but guess what? I said what? You called at a perfect time because we are doing a special tomorrow, shifter and install for a good price. I said SOLD!!!!! and he inked me in for 11:30 tomorrow!!!!! It is a nice deal. I chose the billet with white ball. See you guys there!

That was me you spoke to, lol.

And all the spots are filled up for tomorrow. The shifters are still available at a discounted price, but we have no more available installation spots. Here is the list:

ELA205
Slick Rick
ffrcobra_65
Doc
Chris (forgot to get your screenname)

If anyone would like to help out a fellow member and let Chris take an early installation slot that would be great. He has to leave at noon.

Sorry I missed this guys - I've been SOOOO busy this month and just needed a day to recharge. I hope you all had a good time and I'll definitely try to make it to the meet in November.

Nice seeing you guys and gals today at Hurst. DCPTCN 1 is shifting awesome now. Thank you guys at Hurst for the great customer service! A+ to you guys.
Ok, I didn't come back from my test run after the shifter install. I got called to pick up my wife at the mall which was a good thing before she spent more of my Camaro money.
Shifter review.
I love the short throw! I love the feel and look of it. I love the positive engagement that lets you know you are in the gear. I opted for the white ball but I like the black, too. I will order a black one soon and do a swap whenever I want a different look.
This is my first Hurst shifter. Now I know what has been mentioned here about the noise. Noise is hardly audible if you are just casually changing gears and not playing with the gas pedal too much. But perhaps it is just mine but when I get on it hard, especially in lower gears, the shifter noise is definitely much much louder than stock. The noise overwhelms the radio. Again, the noise is only this bad when I am really hard on the gas.
You guys feel/hear the same?
