Can anyone get a better pick of the step down inside the intial tube. The one the filter fits onto. They say it's radiused but there aren't any good pics to show it. It appears as though it's just smooth edges which isn't the same thing. I really like this particular setup and it would be in my final 2 or 3 choices if I were buying today.

First my hat goes off to Mike from Roto-fab and a special thanks to Mark from ZZMotorsports. This guy let me call him at home last night at 7 to discuss CAI...I knew right away I would like this guy...BTW - I don't know why you didn start Tom Brady.....that is a :bangdesk:

Again

I am so looking forward to getting this and I must say an item that is a first from Roto-Fab so I am told.....so As soon as I get it installed I will post pics of the transformation.....and Mike and Mark you can start selling more of these bad boys.....

Come on delivery truck.

The radius is tough to judge from the pics, so I decided to cut one of our MAF housings in half to show what the cross section looks like. The round piece we are using as a reference is a 2" sanding disc which measures just over 2" in diameter. As you can see, the radius of the entry at this point is just slightly under 1". I hope this helps.

We've receive many questions about our intake system and components so we decided to pull this thread up. Thanks to all using and considering our intake system. If your questions aren't answered on this thread, let us know!

I doubt that you cracked the tube. The sound was most likely the worm drive hose clamp stripping and popping as it does so. We use a non-perforated hose clamp because normal hose clamps damage silicone hose. They perform well and look good; however, they do tend to strip easier than the standard perforated clamps because the worm drive screw has less to engage as it tightens. Let me know what the verdict is and we will get it taken care of.
BTW, we did order some more of the "orange" hoses. Here's the "orange" hose story...They were actually supposed to be red, but came out more orange in color. At first we thought we would have them on the shelf forever, but then one of our IOM customers decided to go with them to see how it would look. Meanwhile, we worked with our vendor on a color change and now have the deeper red hoses to go with the Victory red cars. After we told them to make sure they never used the original red formula, we had to go back to the original red formula in order to get the color that looked good with IOM. All the while we are told we can't get orange hoses!

i took it apart today and checked everything closely. for the record, it didn't crack anywhere. musta been the the clamp.

i just wanted to clear that up and be sure nobody was under the impression i'm not happy with the Roto-Fab or that it's junk...

now, about those IOM hoses....
