just to clarify some things...

the race knob will work on the stock shifter, the MGW shifter and any shifter that uses the STOCK oem shaft design

as a result you cant really make it sit any lower than whats there on the shifter . it is what it is basically. the knob is SLIGHLTY shorter than the oem knob so it sits a HAIR lower but not much.

nothing i can do about this as it is what the height of the oem shifter is.

the gripper ball and the white and black mgw plastic shift balls are THREADED 12mm they do NOT fit the factory shifter. they only work with our MGW shifter and our shorter threaded bracket that mounts on top of our shifter.

Nice job George!

Man....I can't decide if I would want the Race knob or the Gripper!!! I've still got a couple months to decide on that though.

My Camaro is going to be a 2SS w/o the RS pkg so the white lined SS works perfect for me. However I'll throw this out there because someone is going to.

I don't know why anyone with a Camaro would want a 5-speed pattern. They are all 6-Speed trans.

When they mentioned Red SS I think what they were looking for is a black background but a solid red SS logo (maybe outlined in white). That will denote that car is an RS/SS.

Also just so you'll know the shift patterns, the SS 6-Speed has the Reverse to the far right and up just as you have. However the LT (V6) 6-Speed has the Reverse to the far left and up.

Thanks for taking the time to build a great shifter and knobs. I have a feeling you're going to sell quite a few of these.

if you look closely none of the knobs are 5 speeds. what i meant was some people say to be anal hey 6th gear technically is NOT top speed so the f'in fast should be in the 5th gear position so we offer both..its just a lark we never meant it to be serious.

also, i do realize the v6 is different but since we do not offer a shifter for the v6 yet i do not have a knob available for it either but its VERY easy to make a different logo.

as far as a black with red that would be kinda hard as these knobs are laser etched anodized emblems and as such only come in one color. a sticker i guess could be made but i dont want them to look cheap.

I'm with ya....

Just a thought....you might make the V6 pattern to fit the Race knob. I personally don't like the factory knob at all. If I had a V6 I would at least change out the knob to yours.

Good work on all this.....once I get my Camaro the shifter will be getting installed within the first month. I'm going to give it a try myself. I'm a little nervous about a couple of the steps but I'll just have to work through it I guess.

Can't wait to get mine Camaro.....and your shifter!

The race knob is what I'm looking for, but do you offer it with a different center piece? because I don't own a SS :(

The steerling wheel have a "chrome ring" in the middle and so does these knobs.

Black center with the SS in red available? So to match the SS/RS look?
