17,700 miles and still no rattle. Wonder if it's a matter a time or is there a point past where it won't occur? Anybody have it start at a higher mileage?

Mine started around 45,000 KM (around 27,800 Miles) which I know isn't really high mileage but still.

Got it replaced a few days ago, car was in the shop for the rear diff fluid change at 50,000 KM and they did both within about 6 hours.

It's usually at idle or a low rpm.

I was told that after the new snout and isolator are installed, there might still be a slight rattle. Right now, it is a loud rattle/knocking sound coming from the front of the supercharger. It's very noticable. Waiting until mid week to have my car repaired. As far as I know, the rattle affects Camaro ZL1 and Cadilac CTS V with the supercharger LSA engine. Does this also mean 2015 ZL1 cars? I don't know. But I wouldn't be surprised if it is a problem on all LSA cars.

I went from loud rattle to new supercharger with solid coupler and then to the new snout with revised spring loaded coupler. The solid coupler was creating launch buzz and other resonance vibrations so had it replaced according to the new service bulletin.
The new snout and coupler is very quiet and no rattles, even after heavy driving for the last month. The new spring loaded coupler made the engine smooth, no more vibrations and curiously made shifting and rev matching very smooth and easy. Solid couplers is not a good option for the LSA. Night and day difference going back to a spring loaded coupler.

Can you give some info on this new "spring"coupler option.

I'd love to see what you have as I have read a lot about this and I agree with you.

I'd like to see this new design also. I have heard talk of it, but never seen any documentation to support it's existence or picture of the new design.

Interesting enough.....

Lingenfelter changed their sold coupler design from a complete solid one to a more open design. I would if this new one is made to "flex" a bit under load?

I recently purchased a 2013 ZL1, 9500 miles on it. A friend told me he could hear a rattle from the supercharger. I took it to the local Chevy Dealer. Service manager had a tech look at it right on the spot. Service manager said he had to order a complete supercharger and he would have it express shipped. I received a call the next day to set up an appointment. Dropped the car off got it back the same day washed and clean. So far so good..fingers crossed. It's nice to know that Chevy isn't just leaving everybody hanging...it seems they are going out of their way to assist and resolve issues.

Another update: I brought my car in on Thursday morning and left it overnight for the repair. I was notified by the dealership that the wrong parts where sent. Instead of the snout and isolater, GM sent another complete supercharger. I was told that the correct parts are being expedited and I may have my car fixed before the end of day Friday.

This wasn't the case, as I was then told I could pick up my car if I wanted so that I'd have the use of it for the weekend. Just as I picked up the car, the service advisor said that the parts had arrived, but there wouldn't be enough time in their day to fix my car. I'd have to bring it back and leave it after the long weekend on Tuesday. Thats the plan at this time.

Interestingly I received a phone call from GM Canada customercare. My ambassador wanted to know how I was satisfied with the repairs. He had called the dealership to inquire about the repair and was told the car was being fixed. I explained the situation wasn't as he was told, that I'd have to return again and have the repair done next week. That works for me.

GM is very interested in getting my car repaired to my satisfaction. That is awesome, and I am very impressed with GM standing behind their warranty and ensuring customer satisfaction. If anyone has an issue with their cars supercharger, be assured that GM will do what needs to be done to repair the issue. I am hopeful that the latest repair should solve my rattling issue. I'll update next week to let you all know if that's the case.

The Lingenfelter one is the same as the GM design.
