You saved 16 lbs from just cutting up the rear crash bar?
Surprised it was that much. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

It's pretty easy to get rid of weight on the rear of the car like you did, plus maybe add a light weight battery.
I just wonder how much affect taking more weight from the rear of the car has on the balance when on track? I'd like to take more weight off the front of car. I was only able to save 10lbs on the front by changing the front crash bar to tubular steel. |

So there cant be too many Z/28's registered in the UK..have you found out if you are 1 of 1 or 1 out of??
None the less you have the rarest of cars in the UK.

Installed an OMP accelerator pedal for better heel-toe ability.
Covered brake pedal with grip tape (something I do on all my track cars). Yesterday went for a great drive with a friend in a R35 GTR. You really couldn't separate the cars, very evenly matched indeed. Seemed like the GTR gains a bit on gear shifts as it has paddles but I think around a track the Z/28 would have the edge. Next up - 5-point FIA harnesses have been ordered, hope to get them installed before the first trackday at Easter.... cheers, Patrick Last edited by pat_t; 11-24-2021 at 05:05 AM. |

![]() https://www.oreca-store.eu/harnais-f...k-edition.html They should be here by Friday. I'm actually doing something different to normal on the mounting. It will allow me to retain the back seats for use by passengers when the front occupants are using the original seatbelts. More practical for roadtrips with friends as I didn't want to remove the interior or stick a massive, ugly harness bar across the car. I will reveal all and explain in the next post once I've got them all fitted!
