Ok... double checked my previous thread... Scott said about $50... but yeah, definitely should not have been $200... I'll make sure this gets straightened out... Sorry about this...
No need to apologize, scrming.

I was kinda thinking the same thing about the kit being so new that the reps may not have exact labor pricing.

I just so happened to have the day off and felt like taking the Camaro for a road trip to get some new pipes. Too bad.

I'll call around to get some pricing on labor for this sort of kit based on Dave's $50.00 in-house install and share my findings for those who don't want to DIY (like me).

Oh, yeah - of course. My mods list would probably involve saving up for all of it at once, and then doing the shorties, the axle-back, the glasspacks, an airaid intake, and a Zex kit all in one go.

Then off to surprise some rustanks at the track.

Here's some video I shot on my IPhone last nite. It's just some around town footage to give you an idea what the MRT system is like day to day. It's not exciting, just regular use stuff.

This was take with the window down in sport mode. At the 7 minute mark (flashing lights) I rolled the windows up to show the difference.

Here it is... enjoy! BTW, I think I scared the Mustang a little when I went past! hehe!

Ok... talked with Scott this morning about the install price.

First off... the $50 was an off hand remark he made to me in the middle of a long discussion... I kind of ambushed him with the question so to speak...

He is going to double check and review the install and come up with a REAL install price and will make sure the entire staff is aware of the install price.

Just curious, the guys that have done the self-install... wonder if you could provide any kind of feedback as far as amount of time to install?

Thanks!

Wow! Great video!! Love how the computer blips the throttle when you downshift!

Thanks for sharing!

Yea, I love the "blip"! I did notice the amount of blip increases with a greater difference in RPMs needed. Nice feature!

I did my install in about 1.5 hours. I used a cut off wheel and compressor. Fitment was just a bit tricky as the stock pipe was a little out of round from the mandrel used to make the bend.

Those who are doing this themselves should watch for this and make your cut on the round portion of the pipe. The cut location can vary a little from the 3.5" dimension they give in the instructions.

PS... I'll dothe install for $100 for anyone in the south Florida area. Just come to Palm Beach and we'll "Get 'er done"!
