Hell no! no regrets. I have always had black cars and Harleys. As for keeping it clean, I hand wash all my vehicles every weekend. Drive it enjoy it, then clean it life is very short.

Plus it looks bad ass day or night.

I can't comment on Black,My Camaro is IBM Blue, but because it is a dark color,I wash my Camaro alot!!!I even keep a towel and a bottle of window cleaner in the back seat for touch ups.A couple hours driving time will attract the dirt

I don't understand the people who say a black car must be washed constantly. Personally, I don't expect my car to be spotless all the time. My car is a daily driver and since I have no garage it sits out all the time. I've been washing it every two or three weeks. Yes, you can see a few water spots or dirt specks on it if you are standing right next to it, but it still looks pretty darn good from a foot or two away (hopefully no one on the road is getting much closer than that!). Unless I've just driven through the rain (with dirty water splashing up on it from the road), my black car looks just fine without being washed every other day. I guess it just depends on your level of tolerance for imperfection.

Go with the SIM ...The lines of the car show better. Both the black and SIM were side by side and i chose the SIM...Don't get me wrong i like black too. My car is parked outside also and SIM will appear cleaner because of color.

I never owned a black car before, but knew it was the only choice for me for my new Camaro. While ALL of the colors looked awesome (causing me to waiver back & forth a bit), I ultimately felt I had to go with my first instinct. I got black with GFX, CGM rallies and IO interior -- and it is one HOT car!!

Having said that, I agree with everyone who says that black is impossible to keep clean. The first few weeks I was going crazy trying to keep it washed & waxed nearly every other day. Finally I got reasonable about the whole thing & remembered that I bought my car to be driven & enjoyed every moment possible. A little dirt or dust here or there does not minimize the fact that this is one beautiful car that is a TON of fun to drive. I will do my best to keep it clean as possible during the winter, but I'm not gonna stress about it. The pleasure I get from driving it everyday far outweighs any minor frustration over keeping it 'showroom clean".

Mine needs washing (or at least dusting off) about every other day (though having gotten it just a few weeks ago, I've been driving it more than I will normally.)

And you know what?

Totally worth it.

Was so closet to getting a black camaro, but after I have seen then im so gald I picked Silver. Silver, Red Jewel, Cyber Gray, and IOM are the best colors. I've seen every color now and black just doesn't show the curves and lines of the Camaro. My friend has the red jewel and another has the IOM, but still silver I like the best but IOM is close behind.

Black cars usually look the best but not on a camaro.

thats your opinion and i respect it but I love black, and that's my opinion :-) I do think every color is great on the camaro, i havent seen ABM in person yet but that was the color I would've ordered just because I wasnt sure if i wanted another black car. I wish I lived someplace less dusty but i know it is everywhere so I will learn to live with it.

First of all, I really liked the rest of your post, but I felt the need to respond to this particular statement.

Unique is fine and dandy. But the really important part is that feeling of 'hell yeah' when you look at your car. There may be plenty of black Camaros on the road...but so what? Doesn't change the fact that this one is mine.

Truth. Buy the color you want and don't worry about what anyone else has.

If you buy one of the less popular colors just so there won't be as many like yours, you'll always be thinking, "Well, I would have rather had black*, but..."

*substitute "popular" color of your choice.

Black is a pain in the ass, but totally worth it if you're willing to put in the extra time necessary! Be sure to do the whole Zaino thing too, and you won't believe the mirror effect it gives you!!! These pictures don't show the MIRROR properly, but believe me, IT'S THERE!!! I'll try to shoot some good reflective pics one of these days.
