o shit. i can see your tube is hidden in the corner. mine hangs right underneath like pointing at a 6pm on the clock. maybe i should move it to 3 or 4 like you did cuz it doesnt look very secure like yours does. they didnt do as good job with that thing like the COLD AIR INDUCTION did with theres. but i agree with you. big difference it made. now off to grab some tools and change that issue. thanks for the pictures. okay all fixed up now. hose is not touching anything and is not hanging anymore

This has me very curious...

I know this was designed with the 2014-2015 in mind (OTR wouldn't work in these years), but is there anything preventing it from installing in a 2010-2013 SS?

I already have the Vararam OTR, but I am also wondering if there is any performance benefit with this new one over the OTR style. I can already see that Vararam has really improved when it comes to the actual build quality.

While my OTR version was the newer 'SS' revision, some aspects still had room for improvement, such as the filter being 1/4 inch too long for the housing, causing it to bend and not seal perfectly. Also don't like how it only has the 1 screw on each end of the filter housing.

But I am glad to hear that the new version is a great product. It is nice to have quality products being developed for our cars from some of these smaller companies.

Looks like a pretty decent design to me. I like how they did the 90 degree elbow. That alone is worth some hp.

Mine should be here today! is this thing safe to drive without a tune as ive seen people say it goes lean from idle to redline. If that's the case I wont put mine on until the day before I get tuned.

Given the above, is this intake feasible un-tuned and as a stand alone?

Would performance be negatively affected in the above circumstance?

1. wear gloves. its super dirty in that area of the car.

2. You will be taking off the front driver side wheel and panel to reach the washer bottle, really no way around it. It will make your life easier.

3. Removing the front bolts of the radiator for removing the wind deflectors is pointless. I still haven't gotten that damn thing out yet. I might try another method. I will let you know. (1LEs shouldn't have to worry about that part.)

4. bring a clean bucket to dump the washer fluid out of the old washer reservoir or buy a new gallon of fluid like I did.

5. Silver screws are for MAF, Black screws are for washer pump motor.

6. Change the MAF over after you remove the old airbox and construct the new CAI before you install it.

7. The rubber flange tube with the nozzle make sure it points at about 4 o clock off the throttle body while facing the engine. It will make sense after you do the install of the new system

8. make sure to use the old gasket for the washer motor pump so the fluid stays in the new bottle.

9. set aside at least an hour or more. It says 20-30... I might be able to do it that quick now but i'm thinking that's time on a lift.

10. Enjoy the sound once its done. its sound is dangerously fun.
Please note!
Step 5 is incorrect -- the silver screws are for the water bottle and the black screws are for the MAF

I would also like to know if it will fit 2010-2013 models
