Thanks everyone. I think I'm gonna try and step into a C7 Z51. I've seen some spectacular deals on 3LTs. Around the low 40's, with less than 20k miles. But a gen 6 wouldn't be out of the question. Feel free to share your thoughts. Thanks again!

I would seriously consider a gen 6. Lighter, faster and IMO, better in every way.

What year are the C7s you are looking at? If they are new 2016/2017 I'd go Gen 6 Camaro. Best of luck.

Just some advice... If you have a successful amount in customizations add it to your insurance. It may cost a little, but you'd get paid out for every penny if you've got the documentation. If this were the company that I work for, they include $1,500 for customizations. If you didn't insure an additional amount, they'd have no problem telling you That's all you get.

Yes, my insurance covers $3,500 in accessories so I'm pretty much covered all the way. Thanks for the tip.

Go drive both and see which one you like best. At the end of the day you need to replace it with what you will enjoy driving. I've owned several Camaros and Corvettes, both are great cars. I can tell you the ride and comfort of the Corvette is not close to the SS. I've driven a few C7s and after owning Corvettes for 17 years I was ready to move back to a Muscle car. If possible drive both around for a few hours see which one you like the best. Good luck bud.

I've driven the Gen6 and wasn't 100% impressed. I haven't driven a Stingray yet, but it's a dream of mine to own one and prevent a mid-life crisis, maybe. Lol.

I've been lucky that I've always had some type of muscle car or sports car..One thing I will add if your looking at a C7 and its a daily driver I would avoid the Z51 package, the ride even with the magnetic ride control is still harsh. You can get the Z51 rims and deck spoiler without having to get the ride package... just a thought

Cadillac ATS-V's are pretty slick. I am amazed at the performance that you get with four doors.
