1971 Vega Hatchback with the 110hp 4 powerglide transmission. Paid $2,150 new for it and sold it 3 years later with 50,000 miles on it for $1,500 and bought my 74 Camaro.

1994 Chevy S-10. Paid $1200 for it. It had a smashed front bumper, blown engine, no tailgate, and no back bumper. The sale included a Vortec 4.3L, and my dad and i dropped that in there when I was 15.

The first car I owned that was not a family hand-me-down was a brand new '85 Nissan 2wd pickup shortbed with light blue metallic paint. I got it after high school graduation when someone wrecked my '67 bug I restored. It cost me $6660 - about $100 a month in payments and had great fuel economy. I got it because fixing all my family hand-me-downs was costing me way more a month to keep fixing. I was going to drafting school at the time and working weekends so I didn't have time to keep fixing junk cars.
I traded it for a new '87 S10 4x4 only 18 months later when I got a good job.

First set of wheels was a 1973 Gold Duster, in brown with the snakeskin roof (no pics, even online). It was the family car, a hand off.
My 1st car was an 1984 Plymouth Horizon in garnet red. Here's a stock photo from Mopar & looks just like the one I had.

In 1977 drove a 1968 Plymouth Fury III that my dad had bought new. He gave it to me when I graduated in 79'. Sold that in 80' and got a POS Nova from my uncle. Was fun though, it said 307 but he had put a strong 350 in it. I put headers and dual exhaust on it. Nice set of chrome reverse wheels. Had to put air shocks to lift it up to clear the back tires. Took me 34 years before I had another "muscle" car. Loving every minute of it!
