If you bothered to read the post that I replied to, you would see he was only talking about borrowing a car from a friend or family member, not a loaner or rental.

They gave me my car back and they told me we will get this taken care of it may cost 60$. Just to polish it out, no dents etc.

They will call me to see if they will charge me that or not.. since they let me go without paying. " I'll pay surely"

Also took a minute to mention the hail and they said it was okay, that the PDR guy they got can fix without charging.

So I guess as many said, I should've been honest and 60$ is better than paying a ded/ fighting for the other guys hit and run insurance.

That's all I got for now. Thanks guys!
Cool beans!

Is your Camaro perfecto?

I don't post very often on here anymore but have to say. Good on you OP for owning up. This will surely go a long way when you return to that dealership, they will remember you and say, "hey that guy was honest".

Gotta love it though, things go wrong and people love to point the finger at anyone but themselves.

Wow that is bad luck. I'm not sure whether this is common among dealers, in that if the dealer didn't offer an option for the customer to purchase insurance for the loaner, that any damage to the car would go against the customer's insurance policy.

This is a case of bad luck and natural occurrences, so it shouldn't be deemed as poor judgment on the customer's part. Its an act of God, and unfortunately damage occurred as a result.

Edit: Nice going on the result. Its better to own up after an accident or incident. It will be a better reflection of you and you may fare better.
