I have never had an issue with Jerry's in Weatherford. I have bought probably 8 cars over the years from them. I got my RS/SS2 for MSRP with a $500 deposit.

Order went in fine to workbench and I have my deal in writing as well.

Emilio Gonzalez is the sales consultant I dealt with...really good guy (it was more the sales mgr that got under my skin).

You may have to haggle on price but I was able to make a deal! They had 13 allocations at the time and I am #1!
I talked to these guys today for two board members and 3 personal co-workers of mine.

They said they had 14 initial allocations and had 5 of the 14 spots left. I overheard the sales manager telling that to the newb salesman. Since the first salesman I spoke to really didn't know jack (he told me they order the cars, they come off the truck, and then they call the people who put down deposits to come in one at a time and select from what THEY ordered....durrr...yeah, I set him straight) ...but since this first guy didn't know jack, the sales manager came over. I explained my position that "I" wasn't ordering, but was rather looking for others. I happened to be talking to another guy at the time who's name is David Garza.

David Garza came off like he knew a lot more than some of these other guys. No, I didn't quiz him......but, he was able to answer basic questions and knew that orders had been placed.

He also said that they take care of Military and Police. Ryan, this might be for you. Sam, I don't know if you are or not, but check into this regardless...since it appears as though he's willing to set something up for us. He didn't go into specifics, but I mentioned group type buys for Camaro5. He knows of the 5 others that were looking to order. Remind him that Tag Ur It, the San Antonio Police Officer sent you so hopefully an even better deal can be worked out.

Hope that helps ya'll out.

Again,

David Garza

14 allocations huh? They told me 13? Well, guess as long as I'm still #1 I shouldn't really care...

...at any rate, I'm heading down there tomorrow (Friday) to just check in with them and I too will mention Camaro5 folks for you all. I also want to mentionthe IDL on 9 Jan to them since they missed the last one and had to watch the replay (or whatever it's called).

I think a lot of info on the Camaro will be out on 9 Jan and I want my dealer to understand!! Also...I plan to mention how most folks who come in asking about the Camaro might already know about it and to stop acting like butt heads!

As far as military and police discounts or taking care of them...I'm active duty Air Force and they didn't care! I had to haggle for about an hour! Ralph Marsh is the guy you have to get to...he's the one who can make the deal for you.

David Garza knows the Camaro, but Ralph makes the deals!

Excellent info. Thanks!

In fact, another buddy of mine happened to ask a few questions after work. Seems like he's pretty interested in getting into an SS as well.

David mentioned the military/police discount to me. He never did tell me the deal he would give. But, I'd take ^^^'s advice and ask for Ralph if you have to.

But, Deron...please, when you go in tomorrow, let them know we have 5 others interested. I want to remember the name when our guys go in. I want to make sure our guys get taken care of.

PM me how you got your deal...I'm pretty intrested!

OK guys...talked to Ralph Marsh today and he is more than willing to go MSRP for anyone who goes down and tells them I sent you. I have his cards as well with my name on the back if you want to meet up before hand?

Just let them know my name is Deron Warman and I have Camaro #1 with them.

I also asked Walter (their ordering guy) and he said as of today, I am the only one to lay cash on the table and get the order into WorkBench! So, 13 allocations (not 14 according to Walter), 1 in WorkBench, 12 left to sell, all going at MSRP if you mention my name (that way they know I sent you).

HEYA!! Since I see some dealers in here, Quick question,

I pretty much would be ready to go except I am Eligible for GMS and would very much like to use it.

I am wanting to get a 1SS(Maybe 2SS if I get a raise I am expecting.). I am in Bedford Texas. Maybe Beastly or someone can help me out? I stopped by bankston and got told that they would not accept GMS, I told them I wouldn't buy there then.

-- The way I understand it, When a vehicle is purchased for GMS, the dealer gets some money back to make up for the car selling at that price. I guess they only get back the money to invoice though?!?

From the looks of things... I guess I will have to wait until they hit the lot for a while....Surely I can get something done once there on the Lot Amirite?

For Houston area, I ordered Black SS/RS at Buckalew Chevrolet in Conroe. They just moved to a brand new location and building on I45 a couple weeks ago. I45 just north of and 336 loop south to be exact.
Eddie Cotton is the internet manager and sent me all the ordering info I needed via e-mail because I was in Australia on Oct 13th or I would have been first in line. MSRP and $1,000 down. They had 21 alloted and I was #8 on Oct 25th

I went to Tom Benson Chevrolet, and they tried to charge me 2 grand over msrp. I got them down to MSRP, but they had already pissed me off. I'm going to wait until the camaro has been out a while to buy one. Tom Benson still has some camaro's left to sale. I think they have 3 or 5 left. I'm never going back their, but hey if you want to pay MSRP go for it.

I jsut sent this via email (didn't use your name or anything, just what you wrote) to Ralph Marsh...that's BS and I told them folks would be in to buy from Camaro5!

I guess business is good for them? I'll let you know what he says...if anything.

Sorry for the treatment you got...but like I said in my original post, I had to haggle for awhile for my price too!
