I would agree with Tag Ur It. Just like at a four way stop sign you cannot yeild your right of way. So if the other cars stop to allow the Tacoma thru the Tacoma still needs to confirm that the roadway is clear before proceeding. But that is Calif. law, and I would assume it is the same in Texas. However, the legal speed limit for a blind intersection is 15 miles per hour.

You can check it out on the CA DMV handbook online version. http://www.dmv.ca.gov/pubs/dl600.pdf

by the way, glad to hear everyone was ok...

I LOVE GM vehicles, and particularly Chevy's, but would buy any GM vehicle if I had the $$...Hopefully, one day, soon enough, a 5th Gen CAMARO! Dave_O

Ugg that sucks. Glad everyone is fine. I had that happen to me yesterday. Cars stop in the two lanes to my left, and I had a Escalade next to me, on 26's I believe...I could not see anything. So I slowed to like 10 mph and sure enough, a old man with a cane was crossing right in the middle of the intersection.

I slowed the way I did because I know that with the 163rd street mall and the strip stores here, people J- walk all the time. Sure if I would have hit him, it would been his fault, but do I want a possible death on my hands ? As I learned in my old job, have to be aware of everything around you. People do crazy things...exp on the road. You have to drive for yourself and everyone else around you.

BTW yes the Tacoma is at fault, but now you need to go thru the hassle of getting another car. In a state like Florida with no fault clause...it would really suck.

Yea having to find another will suck. They are offering a decent amount but I am going to contest it. Not "full replacement" for what the car is worth which is what they said they were giving me. Our opinion on the "fair market value" differs.

I would go nuts without mine. Even though the roads are crappy right now and it's too cold to drive on the Summer tires, I enjoy going out to the garage and looking at it. If you listen closely, you can even hear it begging to go for a drive. LOL

Keep us posted. Some dealerships actually have stock now so you may be able to find one sooner than you think.

You can find a camaro sooner than you think but not another white one. We have been looking for another identical car and there are NONE on lots. If anyone happens to see a white 2ss/rs, standard, Black interior Camaro let me know. We dont want the big wheels or the ground effects. Stripes dont matter as they'll be repainted in the future.

Dude, this is Texas...There is no reason to not be driving your car. It's not "too cold" until we're talking near freezing; I don't know about you guys, but it's been in the 50s - 60s during the day down here, nowhere near too cold. You'll be absolutely fine driving it.

If we can't find an exact replacement in a reasonable amount of time, I don't see us getting another Camaro. I refuse to settle on any option; we had our dream Camaro, I don't want to settle for less because some guy pulled a bonehead move and cost us our baby. However, we simply can't be down to just one daily for months waiting for an order to come in.

This exact car is on the lot at Jimmie Johnson (yes the nascar driver) Chevrolet in San Diego, CA. That's a long way from you but fly out and drive it home!!! I know it's there because I just bought mine from there 2 days ago and it was there.

Voluntary yield? Been a couple years since I lived in Texas, but I can't say i remember that one. I know Texans don't know how to drive, but damn. Must be all of those first generation english as a second language drivers down there.
