You need to remember Pontiac is a higher end division then Chevy, plus the Pontiac G8 already comes mostly loaded at $30k. The G8 GXP will be loaded with only trans choice and a sunroof as options for about $39k. I think a loaded Camaro SS/RS LS3 should be no more then $37k.

I just got back from a Chevy dealer 1 hour ago, the said they HAD NO REAL INFO, but the Camaro should start around the mid 20's and go up to high 30's. $25k-$39k.

That'll be too high. This car will have to be priced very competively to sell with gas being what it is and the economy going to crap.

Any more than $23K for a nicely equipped V6, or $32K for a nicely equipped SS and this will flop.

Enthusiasts don't make up enough of a market to support a car on their own. Joe Sixpack (and his wife) will have to buy into it as well for it to be successful.

Thats what I told the salesman and he had nothing to say. He said to checkback in a couple months.

RS Package
Sunroof
Auto
GFX
Accesory Grille (from the Red Accesory car)

I think that includes about everything I would/could want.

I'm honestly expecting a Camaro in the above configuration to come in between $36,000 and $37,000. I HOPE it's less, but I don't expect it to be much less.

The very reason I started a savings account very shortly after finding out the Camaro was coming. LOL

^^^Is this how the packages will be?

How do you know this?

I thought the options would be, SS2 pkg, RS pkg, Boston stereo, sunroof, Ambient orange light pkg on the SS.

I will be happy if I can get a loaded SS LS3 manual for $37k.

I think it will be closer to $40k.

Thats something I havent understood, if the SS is the top dog camaro why would the Z28 cost more? And supposedly be the badder machine if they come out with it in 2011

Also I hope a base SS will be low $30s

I had a dodge salesman try talking me into spending $42k on a 08 challenger SRT. SURE buddy let me give you the price of a new C6 vette and recieve an automatic at that

Im waiting to see what the pricing will be for the V8 before parting out my truck.

If base price is 33k for SS, add:
3495 for 2ss package
1000 for sunroof
1000 for Boston Acoustics upgrade
1700 gas guzzler tax
3000 for misc. other cool options

MSRP on a FULLY DECKED WILL BE OVER 40,000. More like 45k.

Not sure if you're just trolling or what, but $45K for a Camaro when you can get a Corvette for that is just assanine to even suggest.

Yeah, really, what the hell?

GM has a lot riding on this car, I am pretty sure they won't price it anywhere near that, or else this will blow up in their face.

Ill go get a RT challenger just as a way to say F U Chevy for not making the camaro affordable.

But we all know its not going to be like that. Chevy knows they have to price the camaro in the right price range. Or start offering mad discounts on them.

It actually may be smarter to wait and see how booming sales are after a couple months. $1500 cash back would be nice or 0% interest
