You need to remember Pontiac is a higher end division then Chevy, plus the Pontiac G8 already comes mostly loaded at $30k. The G8 GXP will be loaded with only trans choice and a sunroof as options for about $39k. I think a loaded Camaro SS/RS LS3 should be no more then $37k.

I just got back from a Chevy dealer 1 hour ago, the said they HAD NO REAL INFO, but the Camaro should start around the mid 20's and go up to high 30's. $25k-$39k.

Any more than $23K for a nicely equipped V6, or $32K for a nicely equipped SS and this will flop. Enthusiasts don't make up enough of a market to support a car on their own. Joe Sixpack (and his wife) will have to buy into it as well for it to be successful. |

SS2 :
-leather/heated seats -ambient lighting -Boston Acoustics Premium Sound -aux gauges -leather steering wheel + controls -Bluetooth/USB -remote start (auto only) RS Package Sunroof Auto GFX Accesory Grille (from the Red Accesory car) I think that includes about everything I would/could want. I'm honestly expecting a Camaro in the above configuration to come in between $36,000 and $37,000. I HOPE it's less, but I don't expect it to be much less. The very reason I started a savings account very shortly after finding out the Camaro was coming. LOL |

^^^Is this how the packages will be? How do you know this? I thought the options would be, SS2 pkg, RS pkg, Boston stereo, sunroof, Ambient orange light pkg on the SS. I will be happy if I can get a loaded SS LS3 manual for $37k. I think it will be closer to $40k. |

GM has a lot riding on this car, I am pretty sure they won't price it anywhere near that, or else this will blow up in their face. |

Ill go get a RT challenger just as a way to say F U Chevy for not making the camaro affordable.
But we all know its not going to be like that. Chevy knows they have to price the camaro in the right price range. Or start offering mad discounts on them. It actually may be smarter to wait and see how booming sales are after a couple months. $1500 cash back would be nice or 0% interest |
