Anyone from Canada going to Camaro5 Fest?

Rooms booked so add another to the convoy. Am I the only one whose going to be taking his golf clubs? There's no way I'm going that far south in April and leaving them at home. I realize that this will seriously curtail luggage space (okay pretty well use it up especially if the prettier half takes hers as well) but it has got to be done. I know I can travel light but................. If anyone else is interested maybe we can arrange a game down there with some other members. Come on April!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dave - Glad to hear you're bringing baby blue along for the ride. The caravan just got a bit more colourful! I was contemplating bringing my clubs. I'd love to play and would be great to have someone to play with. But I'm wondering when there will be time to play in the schedule I'm thinking Fri & Sat will be pretty full and likely start the drive home right after the events Sunday? I donno. That's something we haven't talked about yet - the trip home. Thoughts?

PS - There's a lot of room in the back seat too!

Well apparently I fail when it comes to making maps. Took me a couple hours of messin' around with this but I finally got it figured out. So here's the skinny Rick.

I'm thinking that we'll meet you guys Wednesday night in Winchester. Will finalize the route later but I'm thinking of taking Route 219 down as shown below. Looks like a nice drive. A little slower but now all interstates and some nice curves. It's about 8.5 hours from home, so maybe 10 hours with stops.

Couple questions for you:
What time do you think you guys will roll into Winchester?
What time were you planning to depart the next morning?
Holiday Inn in Winchester and Quality Inn in Atlanta right?
Have you guys booked your rooms yet?

What do ya think?

Hi Scot..I sent you a PM for the new routes that the other guys decided on so far. No we did not book the hotels (B,C) yet just waiting to see if we will book individually or as a group...will PM the others this week.

OK ... For the Members from Montreal / Ottawa / Toronto Areas...We need to Confirm our Hotel Reservations ASAP and we need to know who else will be JOINING our Group to the C5F in Georgia in April...so please decide..this is going to be one hell of a PARTY and a trip you'll never forget....Imagine over 400 - 2010 Camaros meeting in one place to Meet & Greet and have the occasion to try out ours cars on the track legally and to look & speak to the Vendors of the products that we all intend to buy one day. To see them on the Camaros that already have them installed. To see the different paint jobs...etc.
So here is a quick breakdown of what is happening so far..

Montreal Route

Now we have to confirm with Everyone if this is what they all want & how many persons / Cars will you each bring. And how do we pay for the Hotels...through Scott or directly to the hotels?

For anyone who's interested in joining the "All Canadian Caravan" (aka the "All Canuck Caravan" or the "ACC" ) somewhere along the routes posted above, just send me a PM with your info as Rick said. I'll send you some details of what we're cookin' up. Starting Feb 15th I'll be actively be looking to book rooms as a group for the "confirmed list". My goal = high quality rooms at a dirt cheap rate.

For those Canadians who are coming via another route, we'll see you at the Fest (or Atlanta). Just look for the Canadian flags! Go Canada Go!

Looks like there is a small group of us Canadians crossing into the US at the Windsor, Michigan boarder. We'll be taking the I-75 straight down. We can hook-up when you hit the I-75 just south of Atlanta for the final leg into Valdosta.

I have a wack of those red "GO CANADA GO" flags too so I'll bring them along.

Between the mileage I don`t wanna put on my car, and the fact that I would have to probably take an extra 2 days of driving because my wife has to pee every 2 minutes, it just isn`t feasable for me. Maybe the 2nd annual one.....

Official Update on the Hotel Arrangements

I now have information for everyone except Mark (who I think said he was undecided right now). Therefore unless someone tells me the route has changed, I am going to start actively researching the hotel accomodations this weekend.

Just a friendly reminder - I'm hoping to get good quality rooms for cheap. But the savings means that (i) we're committed to bookings when I do make them and (ii) we most likely will have to pay up front. So for everyone who has signed up, I may be calling you in the next few weeks to pony up your share so I can pay the bill. We'll see what arrangements I can make. if anyone is concerned about that, please tell me now.
