On my hood, if they did them the same as Eric did, I was able to retain my OEM hood prop strut, the hood had the peg on it to attach the prop rod to. Plus the front hood latch was beefed up a ton inside the hood where NO hood pins were required, like some of the other hoods suggest.

Both top and underside are gloss. If my car were white I would get away with it if I'm honest. as for the hood prop strut. Yes, everything is there. The only thing that isn't is the windshield washer nozzles. You can easily get a universal kit and mount the washer nozzles on the wiper itself. I have emailed someone in that company trying to confirm if they indeed have the functional cowl hood for sale. I honestly would not mind either selling or returning if they did. I would prefer that style more myself if im honest.

So I finally got confirmation. Unfortunately they do not have the functional cowl hood.

Well that sucks!! I guess the just wanted to go the "easy" route, and just do the COPO hood. Probably didn't want to bother with the extra work to mold and piece together the 2 pieces for the cowl hood.

We should get together and have yours scanned and then have a good company produce them again. Just wishful thinking.

Yeah, that would be nice to have someone produce them again, CORRECTLY!! lol. Nobody else out there makes a "functional cowl" hood. Buddy of mine with a 2010 Camaro bought the 4 inch cowl from Harwood, and it was a piece of CRAP!! It took the body shop 2 days to make it paintable, it had millions of tiny pinholes in it, and it was a bit warped, AND it didn't line up very good at all!! So in the long run, it took them about 4 days of body work to get it right.
