Hell yea! Is there really any other way to do it when you are young, dumb and don’t know any different???

A guy I knew in high school shoved a pretty well built 454 into a pinto. That was a wild ride in more ways than one.

We had a couple of death traps in the high school parking lot. There was a VW Bug that a kid and his dad stuffed a 327 into by taking out the back seat. It didn't last long. The other was a Honda CVCC (Remember those little shit-boxes?)that had a V8 and a snorkel scoop. Not sure what happened to it. Years later a buddy of mine did a tasteful job of extending the front end on a Mazda B2000 pickup and dropped in a 351W. It didn't last long either. His crazy girlfriend wrapped it around a tree in a drunken fit of anger one night.

Ironically even though that is a serious problem leading to possible replacing wiring harnesses, sensors, and other electronics more frequently it also intrigues me as a software engineer. Not that I need another robotics hobby project but messing with computers is kind of my jam. It is also where I spent most of my time tinkering on the 5th gen which had 44 subsystems so looks like we are almost getting to the point of "wrenches need not apply" ...

The AC on my 2002 Silverado was not working and two shops could not figure it out. I had to buy the manual on CD from RockAuto and figure it out myself. One of the wires to the high pressure switch on the back of the compressor was broken.

Now it's throwing a Service 4WD message and I'm pretty sure it's the TCCM since if I disconnect the ground everything works until I turn it off and then it's back to the error. I would be afraid to take it to a shop because nobody understands electronics. Hell, reading the schematic gives me a headache. I finally found what I think is the correct TCCM, so we will see tomorrow what is up. Edit: New TCCM fixed it.

That is a 2002.

I really like the C8s, but I'm pretty sure I would give myself a stroke trying to work on it. #LS4Ever.

I googled around for a Haynes manual on the 6th gen but seems like many have given up on Camaros after 2015. Still on the fence but probably going to go for it anyway and just resist the urge to void the warranty this time. Slim chance I will figure out all the subsystems and electronics but it would still be fun to try.
