After doing some research into HP to MPH to Aero it Should be possible to reach that 155 MPH figure,

as a reference a 2,900 pound Saturn Sky Redline with a 260 HP turbo and a CD of .42 can reach a theroretical 140 MPH to reach 150 it would take approximately another 25 HP according to the calculations Which means it would take about 285 HP for the Sky to reach 150. Now the Camaro has a Better Cd, 3.5 I think, so depending on gearing the Camaro should be able to reach the 155MPH mark before running out of HP.

I admit when i am incorrect and it seems I was at this point.

With all due respect, I meant was what did it have to do with the topic to call him out like that.

Although I'd love to see the base car run that number, I can't help but wonder how. What I mean is, most LT1 cars, with 275-285 horsepower (typically between 230-250 RWHP) would top out around the mid 150s. If my memory is correct, those had better aero' numbers than the current car. Of course, the new car has more power, and at least in terms of 1320 times, one MPH usually represents about ten RWHP, so if the 3.6L makes about 30 more, perhaps that's enough to overcome additional drag.

What I do know is, is that the 5th. Gen. will look better doing it (I'm not suggesting the 4th. Gen. is ugly, just that IMO, the 5th. Gen. is plain beautiful.)

Did anyone else catch this in the article?

All base Camaros will be equipped with an FE2 suspension package, though chief engineer Doug Houlihan says Chevy is "considering" adding, as an option, the uprated FE3 suspension that'll be standard on V-8 cars.
I wonder if you can get the Brembo brakes as part of the FE3 package on the LS/LT model? Guess we'll have to wait until the ordering details come out. I remember reading somewhere that difference between the FE2 and FE3 packages accounted for a good chunk of the weight difference between the LS/LT and the SS. But, in trade, you'd get better handling through stiffer spring rates, thicker anti-roll bars, and a 1cm lower stance.

With the FE3 package, an LS/LT would be able to hang with the SS in the corners but would still get outrun in the straights.

Sure it does! If the srt8 and the gt are compared to the v6, then obviously it is Quick enough to be a competator. Then once they actually test it against a v8, its going to blow their doors off! Its a good thing if they actually want to compare the v6 to v8's

Less weight in the corners might make the LS/LT better for Auto-X'ing

You know what makes the Motor Trend article better than those other "first-drives" that just came out?

No mullet jokes. That was funny, what, the first thousand times?

This interests me. The V6 looks seriously good, but i am interested in how it will handle. How good is cornering, and body roll with the lesser suspension?
