Ok, I looked it up. A stage 3 HPF m3 is 635rwhp on pump gas. Handling and braking aside(because that would be ALOT of money) I think our cars could take this car with 680-700rwhp. I still don't think comparing a Zr1 to this car is fair because I think the Zr1 would destroy this car with a pulley change and couple of bolt ons in every direction. I guess a fairer comparison would be a 2005 vette with mods but I think the vette would run away from the m3 with the same mods in all aspects. I just think thats a apples to oranges comparison. I however believe the 2010 SS and new M3 are more evenly matched. The m3 destroys the ss on the road course but is just a hair quicker in the Quarter. Besides the 25k savings over the M3 would buy you alot of parts. A 47k new vette with Z51 package would also embarrass a 55k M3 but again I don't think its a fair comparison even though price is close, its just 2 different levels of cars. Bottom line is this guy does not need a vette to beat that M3 and his overall cost will be way lower than the overall cost of that M3.

Lots of different routes to go.

What it comes down to really is how fat is your wallet? From experience be prepared to spend 20 grand without a blink of an eye.

First off quit busting his balls cause he can't spell. He wouldn't be the first person on here with that problem.

Second he isn't asking what car to buy to beat to beat his son. He asked what mods to get him to that point with his current car that happened to be a Camaro.

Third I don't give a shit what you drive you can make it fast if you dump enough cash in it. I embarrassed all kinds of cars in my 5500 lb extended cab that thought they were the fastest thing on the road. All it took was 600 rwhp, a lot of hard work, and a ton of cash. On the other had I have had my ass handed to me too. People asked me all the time why I dumped all that into a heavy ass truck, and told me I would have been faster if I started with this or that. I did the truck because I had it and it was fun. That is the point. Have fun with what you have.

Now as for what you should do to the car. It all depends on where you want the power, how you want it to come on, driving style, daily driver or weekend toy, and how much reliability are you willing to sacrifice?

I don't see any Civic owner spelling it "Civik"

The name of the car you own is generally expected to be spelled correctly. It is like misspelling your name, or your professional title.

I'm an Engineear----- Yeah buddy sure you are? Maybe a "Custodial Engineer". lol Doesn't pass the BS test.

Hey Guys I drive a PonEack G8- can you guys tell me how to beat an 800 HP M3.

After reading that sentence would anyone believe that I own a Pontiac G8 GT?

the OP could take that $100K and go buy a ZR1 and still have money left over. there's not much that's gonna catch a ZR1. at least not under the six figures mark.

ZR1 starts at $106,880. $100k will not buy him one with money left over.

The HPF M3 kit is incredible. I don't care how much $$ it cost, that is impressive for a I6. Now, If I bought a $20k used M3 I could almost see spending $30k to get that kind of performance. The down side is you've got a 5-10 year old car that will never be worth 10% of the money you have in it. That is not what I would call a smart move. I'm sure its fun to mash the go fast pedal though.

So next time your son pulls up talking trash, sit down, turn on the AC, hit the heated seat button and know that you Camaro isn't going to meet its untimely death and cost you an extra $30k. OR just wait until he blows up and offer to take him to the local Chevrolet dealership so he can get his own Camaro.

I am needing around 800 rwhp to take him, is that possible and still be safe? I attemped the search feature and got pages and pages of every thing under the sun.

I didn't catch it if it was said, but do you have a V-6 or V-8???

A built engine and forced induction would certainly do the trick. Vortech's Camaro System has the option of going with the V-7 YSi-Trim Supercharger that will support up to 1,200 horsepower, and can be run with either a 10-Rib serpentine drive, or an optional 50mm cog drive. With the Vortech kit, a built engine, the right fuel system, and a good tune, you'll not only be able to beat him...you'll embarrass him!
beat me to it. was going to say HPF.. my friend has a HPF now Stage 2.5 or 3.. its like 700wHP..
