That's the idea behind QUOTING.

If I wanted to comment on your other posts in this thread, I would have used the multi-quote feature.

EDIT: I mean, thank you for pointing that out. I'll be sure to read each post, every time. lol

Look man, nothing against you, but put yourself in my place - I'm trying to bring up a point and you reply back with advice on something that I didn't even talk about to begin with. Making sure you know wtf people are talking about tends to be helpful when lending advice

I appreciate your opinion, but it's like someone walking up in the middle of a conversation with advice based on nothing that's been talked about. I don't have a problem with the drag coefficient of the SS, just pointing out that I don't believe it's likely the v6 has a higher drag coefficient than the SS since it's "slicker".

So thanks for your personal advice on how to get rid of the mailslot when I never asked for it - appreciate your input

Ditto. No worries. I see your point clearly. It's an issue that is important to you, and it I did not give the attention it deserves. Most of the time, I read every word, but I've been on here a while tonight, and became a sleazy, slimy post whore.

Enjoy your late evening or early morning.

What about the front bumper that some people want to swap for the V6 version after buying the SS?

Eh...no, that idea isn't it either. The v6 still looks slicker, unless the underside of the car is REALLY awful. The SS looks like it will direct more air up over the car (or around the sides) and prevent so much from going under vs. the v6.

Useless Information

Here's some useless information I thought I'd share regarding the drag coefficient of a few other sweet rides:

Ferrari Enzo: 0.36
McLaren F1: 0.32
Mustang Gt500: .38
'Vette Z06: 0.34

Ferrari Enzo: 0.36 traded drag for downforce
McLaren F1: 0.32 traded drag for downforce
Mustang Gt500: .38 did their best with a brick, like the Camaro
'Vette Z06: 0.34 traded drag for downforce

DGthe3, I thought that might be the reason for those things.

The base vette is .28

Yes the Z06 is .34 but that's because of all those HUGE scoops, spoilers and massive tires to push through the air.

So, i guess we want to keep the design, based on the poll.

The drag coefficient CD is the ratio of the drag force to the dynamic pressure times the front area.

CD = Drag / (0.5 * rho * A * U^2)

where,

Drag is the force in Newtons (or lbf)
rho is the density of air in kg/m^3 (or slugs/ft^3)
A is the frontal area in m^2 (or ft^2)
U is the velocity in m/s (or ft/s)
