Well that's not always the case for everyone, he may list with his dad so he can have lower rates and still pay it himself.

What kind of jobs do you other 17 year olds have?

I am 17, and I drive a 1998 S10 Xtreme. I want to find some way to be able to get a new Camaro, whether it be a V6 or an SS, but I've yet to figure out how to do it. My goal throughout high school was to get a nice car by my senior year, or in the middle, and I am looking for a good job to do it. How do you do it?

what you've got to be kidding......$615 per month....that's $7380 per year!!!! plus let's say $200 per month gas for $2400 per year....

OUCH OUCH OUCH

you still have car payments ....i don't know what they are but i will guess conservatively at $400 per month or $4800 per year...

that's almost $15,000 per year.........to drive a car.

I'm 17 too and work as a teller at a bank, so before getting this job i made the mistake of making a impulsive buy with my hhr being my first car and all but its an '09 and low mileage so i have good equity on it because i've paid more than half of it so hopefully when i turn 18 this coming august everything goes well and i get my camaro on my own!

No problems, its because i live in Ontario, thats the best, im actually getting the best deal out of all my friends. 615 a month for a 2LT/RS for an 18 yo is bad, but its not that bad when you compare out rates for teens here in general. We get raped up the @ss basically but theres nothing you can do but move to Quebec, i would probably be paying 1200 for the year in Quebec....oh well, gotta pay to play

We have Farmers as our insurance company. I am under a family plan, we have 5 vehicle's under the that plan.

I guess they just don't like the idea of a 18 year old with a car like that, my insurance guy that i talk to told me that the Camaro was a lethal weapon..

Oh yeah and lets not forget, i am still making payments on the car too. Makes the total around 600 a month for the Camaro. I am selling my Cadillac to pay off the Camaro, i am whiling to do anything to keep this car. I love it too much!
