Had the same thing happen to me. I was working my way into the right land on the highway for the upcoming exit ramp. No hustle no bustle, finally made it over, the guy that was behind me on the last lane change comes up beside me and flips me off. In his 80 something bonneville. No reason, just a hater.

This thread has been so fun for me to read. I posted what really was a trivial matter, just for kicks and you guys have been great! I really didn't expect to get to the bottom of this behavior (well, except that some people are just mean), but I asked because I was just sure the "flip" was strictly aimed at the Camaro. Like I said before, I've been making this same commute to work for 20 years and never had this happen until today (only the second time I've driven the Camaro to work). I'm pretty sure it is Camaro hate. But, I don't understand why.

Someone said it might be my plates. My plates are entirely harmless and only playful. Anyone who frequents the internet would know that they are meant to be in good humor. At least that was my intent when I got them.

It is really interesting that some of you have also encountered this reaction to your Camaros. We do need to contact Dr. Phil!

Nah, just call the Suburbans. That driver will never flip off anyone in a Camaro again!

I have a buddy that got all his fingers chopped off on his left hand... They sewed a toe onto his hand where his middle finger would be. Any time he waves it looks like he's flipping you off, he has a lot of fun with it.

Maybe it was him

You said you just got this car right? So under 100 miles for sure?? If so why are you using cruise control during the break-in period -.-

Sorry yeah that was the only thing that made me mad out of the whole thing lol.

I think it's ok to set the cruise for 5 mins or so. Don't be mad. The car has about 300 miles on it right now. I only use cruise for short stretches to help avoid a speeding ticket. (I know not to do it for extended periods during break in).

I used my cruise control quite a bit during break in, but I would vary my speed with it, + or = 10MPH every 15 to 20 miles, and sometimes I would just drop down a gear from 6th to 5th to vary the RPM also.. at 3000 miles she runs great!

He was probably trying to give you a thumbs up, but the idiot used the wrong finger.

You got to look at it this way or you'll go crazy.

It's jealousy.
While I was stopped in a dedicated left turn lane a scumbag in a piece of crap econobox stopped in the traffic lane just to yell a**hole then speed off.
What class.
