Here is the BMP file I used for my boot up on my Kenwood DNX0660. Should work on other Kenwoods also but I'm not sure which other models.

For those that have installed the Metra.....how well does it match the stock interior trim?

Just curious, what made you go with this over the NX500 deal?

Is this the absolute only option for getting a double din unit? As much as I want a better radio I can't bring myself to pay for metras kit. Are they planning on making it better or is it not really worth it to them.

I just installed this kit today, The directions say to remove the console, But don't waste your time. I just removed my bezel around the shifter, then just reach under the radio and push the plastic down and it will come out. same for install of the metra trim piece.

Install was basic if your just doing the radio should only take about 1hr.

I installed Stereo, XM receiver, Backup camera, ran ipod cable to console, and ran wires for sub amp, Took 2hrs to complete.

Then I spent 2hrs trying to get the steering wheel controls to work. Still cant get them to work.

Only complainant is the blue leds on the buttons, just don't match the car.

Took me awhile to get the steering wheel controls to work too. I had to manually set each button to get it to work.

My biggest complaint is that the LCD is terrible at night. I like to have my dash as dim as possible and I just have it with 1 tick up where the doors just light up. But the Metra LCD I couldn't tell half of the icons on there so something like AC, I can't tell if it's on or off. I had to change it to a greenish color which works but doesn't match as I would like it. If I turn up the dash brightness all the way, the LCD looks great, but everything else is bright too.

they send everything you need, Unless you want XM then you have to buy it, And an ipod cable for the stereo you pick.

You should have wiring harness with your radio. If not, than you need to buy one as you would with any other kit.
