Heres my update on the situation

Dropped the car off to the shop Monday morning. Decided I am going to take a negative and turn it into a positive. I have decided to paint the mirrors, paint my stripes on instead of vinyl, and do some custom paint work to the front bumper. They were able to repair the bumper better then new. The body shop guy that I use for all my work ended up plastric "welding" the bumper mount and re-riveting the mount as well. i was very impressed. Fits the car like a glove. He mixed me up some black metallic pearl paint with the IOM specal in it to do the custom paint. Should look good when I pick her up Friday afternoon. He did the bumper for less than $300 to repair it so i did not use my insurance since my deductible is $500. I will post pics at end of week when its complete. man I hope I did not get to crazy on the paint

I'm going to put my 2 cents in here. I hit a tire on the highway that shredded from an 18 wheeler in front of me. I got all the guys insurance info but waited to file the claim until I got an estimate on the damage. It put a dent in the bumper a good few inches leaving a bunch of cracks in the plastic and also tore off the plastic piece on the bottom. A new ss bumper from GM is about 400$, plus another 400$ in installation and paint. It came out to be $808 to replace the whole bumper which sucks because I had to and insurance wouldn't cover any of it.

But, it looks good as new now. Lesson learned watch those curbs and also those tires may look like a harmless piece of rubber but they will do considerable damage

But, way to make the best of the situation

One of the reasons why not to lower a street car. I don't see the point of lowering the Camaro. GM has spent millions on designing it, testing it, etc...it's already set at the right height for performance. If lowering made it any better, it would have came that way.
