I'm not talking about any one comment made by you specifically - I mean anyone who's come into this thread to shit talk instead of, you know, talk about the topic of the thread.

To contribute, I think the Genesis is a fantastic car on it's own merit, especially at the price. The 4 cars I was looking at, the Genesis was my second choice - Camaro, Genesis, Challenger, Mustang - only reason I put the Mustang behind the rest is because in Tallahassee, there are more Mustangs than the total population of this city! Ok, slight exaggeration, but you get the point. I definitely like having something that isn't going to get lost in the sea of cars in a parking lot.
The Genesis would be a very fun car to hop around town in, or track (I seriously doubt I would care near as much if I dinged it!) but as a car that I also need to use to live daily life, the Camaro was by far the better purchase. |

I don't have anything against a Genesis. They look like great cars.

The V8, that's a different story. Its not to be compared with comparablle priced performance such as nissan infiniti. That has to be compared to its muscular cousins. The mustang and challenger. When you buy a Z, you are buyin 1g skidpad performace. The camaro, you are getting good handling for a big car but a monster engine and insane modding capability. Its funny how some say they shouldn't compare a genesis v6 to a camaro v6. Honestly, its the other way around. Leave the muscle to the v8 and the performance to the v6. Which the camaro v6 lacks the performance by comparison. Lastly, while camaros v8 is king. 2011 mustang v6 is the closest to making a respectful v6 muscle car. 0-60 in 5.3 seconds and the quarter in 13.5 is no joke. Camaros 6.2/14.3 is laughable by comparison. 2011 mustang borders true muscle times. And is on the better end of performance times. Now if mustang can put an independant suspension like the camaro or if camaro can be tuned to be more like the mustang engine. Maybe v6 muscle might have a fighting chance as muscle-performance hybrid. That's the unbiased rationalization right there. |

Great one! U have justified purchase of ur pokemon for sure with all this bullshit. Now u can sleep better. Dont read the next text or ul become sleepless again.
1. v6 camaro - 312 not 304. 2. v6 not muscle, its pony. So as v8. 3. v6 stang not 13.5 - its 13.8-14. 4. v6 stang not 5.3, its 5.5-5.6. 5. If u still reading, cmon...! Give ur little cute car to ur chick and buy this great new mustang so ul get back with at least one of ur ball here. ![]()

6) As Belarus pointed out they are pony cars. A lot of people call them muscle cars regardless so we'll move on from that. Where I have a problem is your idea of muscle vs performance. Is muscle not about performance? Is the V8 in the muscle car not there for it's performance? Is modding not muscle because it adds performance? 7) The "slow azz V6's" are necessary for sales, the Mustang and Camaro wouldn't survive without them. 8) Why does hyundai make a "slow azz" 4 cylinder? Or why do they bother with their "slow azz" V6? Why can't they drop a V8 in the genesis coupe and really compete if they want to be considered in the muscle/pony car category? 9) Anyone buying a genesis V6 might as well go for gold and get a 5.0 or SS, they don't cost much more. 10) Or if you're set on getting a V6 why would you bother with the genesis when the Mustang has better overall performance? |

People should understand the meaning of words : charisma and legendary car roots.
Here is a formula of true pony from my own point of view: 1. charisma and legendary car roots 30% 2. + fastness 30% 3. + PROPER evil look 30% 4. + strong voice 5% 5. + heavy metal song inside 5%. So as for v6 camaro: 1 - one of the best made america's car, 2 - faster, then original 69 v8's. Faster, then most stock 2005-2008 stang v8 with a few bolt ons. 3 - Oh yeah!. 4 - i have stock exhaust and after 4k miles on it it sounds stronger and stronger, so i even not planning getting aftermarket anymore. 5. - Oh yeah! |
