Hell ya it’s a muscle car. Not as fast as a V8 but it will get up and go.
Just enjoy your baby and drive her a lot.

Back in the mid 70s I had a '73 Z28 that ran mid 14s stock. Was it a muscle car? In the late 70s I had a '73 Nova SS that ran mid 14s. Was it a muscle car? Most would say YES to both. My 2010 1LT/RS will probably run mid 14s. Is it a muscle car? Who cares what the definitiion is, mid 14s out of a stock V6 is hot!

Here's what I say about this:

A Camaro is a classic, just like the Challenger and the Mustang, they are considered "new age" muscle cars, just like a '69 Camaro is considered a muscle car.

A Porsche, Nissan GT-R, BMW, or whatever other car like it is considered a sports car. (Example: Nissan 360/370Z, Porsche 911, BMW M3, BMW Z8)

A Ferrari would be considered an Exotic. They are expensive, and also have a lot of horsepower. Same goes for the Carrera GT, Lambos, and even the Ford GT.

2005+ Mustangs= Muscle
2010+ Camaro= Muscle
2008+ Challenger= Muscle.

Some people have their own opinion, like this kid at school who calls our Mustang GT an "economy car," whereas I see an economy car as something like a Prius.

V6 is a Muscle car, V8 is just a more masculine muscle car. That's just it.

Funny reading this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muscle_car a Corvette may not be considered a Muscle car.

But if you really read it a muscle car is something that is built for pure performance and I'll add "for it's time". For it's true for example our V6 Camaro is pushing more horsepower then some muscle cars 20 -30 years ago compared to todays standard a V6 camaro may not be considered a muscle car though I would argue a SS is one when you look at it's performance matrix.

Of course just my $.02..

I would probably call it a pony car. The SS is a muscle car. But seriously, tell him to put his money where his mouth is and challenge that V6 to a race.

If I turn off all traction control & stabilitrac, I've laid down 40' or so -entire first gear and some of second.

I have to point out I've got Radial TA's and not the PZeros.
