They would have made great commercial tag lines.
Love this one!

If the Camaro had a commercial all over the place it would sell like crazy. I don't really understand why they don't.. but I like that they don't.

Going way back.............Pontiac had the greatest GTO commercials!
They also had the black Trans-am accelerating away from a light and sucking the light down with it's draft. I only saw that one a couple of times before they pulled it.

I understand we all love our Camaros and some people are GM loyalist, but from a financial stand point, not having great marketing or advertisement for a given product is bad. I find it totally ignorant as to why some people don't believe the Camaro needs a commercial. It's already selling pretty damn great, but think of the volume more that the Camaro would sell if it had a "bad ass" commercial which can compete with the Mustang 5.0 or Challenger ads.

No advertisement and bad advertisement has often been the cornerstone of failure for many good companies. If you have a great product that people LOVE, advertise the living hell out of it and make it bigger, don't just rest on "word of mouth", that's not as reliable as television, which reaches millions of viewers at a time.

With that being said, the new Mustang 5.0 and v6 both gave GREAT commercials, the Challenger also has GREAT commercials, commercials which actually stir up emotions in the viewer. The Camaro?.......Doesn't even has it's own stand-alone commercials, instead it's shown in another commercial advertising the product line with it's wheels bouncing while being tested. Sorry,....that's BORING.

If they can come up with a commercial for the CTS-V,....a car not many people can even afford, they should also have the means to come up with a commercial for a awe-inspiring car, MOST can afford at: 22-30k. Im disappointed. I guarantee you,....if Chevy comes up with a heart-pounding commercial that makes me think "that could be me in that car", it's going to be CAMARO FEVER all over again!

More people than ever doing the cell-phone camera shots while at the red light or gas station! If you have a great product,.....sell it!

No need for a commercial, I agree. But it would be nice to see one as a part of popular culture other than the one or two I see each day.

I think a savvy ad man will tell you that nothing sells itself and everything can sell better.

The best recognized brands and objects on earth like Coca Cola and IPods have huge advertising budgets. If anything on earth basically sells itself (like it or not) it's the IPod and their dancing silhouette on a bright background is considered to be one of the most commercially recognizable images.

Isn't the plant already running at max capacity? It's not like camaros are just sitting on lots for months on end.

I agree that some commercials would be nice and help the camaro sell even more. But for GM to do that they'd probably have to open up another plant to deal with the added demand. Tooling up another plant costs a bunch of money.

Then if that demand went away you don't need the extra plant anymore so you gotta deal with the plant sitting idle or retool it for something else.

Again, I agree that the camaro could sell better with advertising, but there are other costs that we maybe aren't considering. Of course if the current plant isn't running at capacity then my point is void.
