Just...just let it go. You're not going to get much sympathy, we all drove beaters as our first cars at that age. If I could've gotten a current-year car at 16, I would've been ecstatic. But I had a $4,000 beater.

Dude, my first car was a '76 AMC Gremlin with a rag instead of a gas cap. 2 weeks after I got rid of it, the engine fell out as the guy was driving it down the street. And, I paid for it myself from money I saved from delivering newspapers and mowing lawns, etc. I'd have given my left nut to have had my dad speak those words to me! A BMW or Mustang? Wow! I think I would have passed out! Having said that, I hope you get the car you want, and I hope that you learn to appreciate it.

Just offer your dad to take the safety classes [lock at car and driver]for july page 30 just do it anyway you can it really is an eye opener and maybe just maybe ,no really just do it man you will one day say to yourself even if in very low voice i'm glad i did it

If you really want a Camaro, just tell your dad thank you for the offer, but you are going to continue to drive the POS that you have until you have saved up enough for the Camaro.

If you really want something bad enough, you will either save up for it or sacrafice something else to have what you want. If you cannot wait, then you really don't want it bad enough.

Best case senario your dad sees you really want the car and may just say okay I will help with getting you a Camaro.

yea i think i might have to go with that fugimo, that sounds like the best idea, but right now im driving my sister used 4 cylinder rav4 that has dents in 3 doors and 4th door doesnt open
