Yeah Chris, that Monte is an awesome beast... and I had to run my worst pass of the evening against him...

I'm a total newbie in this though. It was my first time at a track, and my first drag in my Camaro.

Best ET was 14.466. Not great for a car like mine. So there's a lot of room for improvement. I specially have to work on my launch, that's for sure. I might do just that this Saturday, 'cause I intend to go back there as it will be my last evening in town this summer. Hope some of you might like to come as well.

And as Chris said, I'll try to attend the meet tomorrow (Friday the 13th). See you there!

My night was enjoyable but i was having issues with getting into 2nd gear......3 runs where it just wouldnt get into 2 nd gear...i cut 3 nice reaction times....but as soon as i go to pop her in 2nd gear bang...wouldnt do it whatsoever.....4 runs total...the 1 st one being the only one where i got her into 2nd gear and i forgot the traction control....15.4 best run for the evening i was ups
et by that but ,hey it was my 1 st time with the camaro.....on the way home i did a few hard launches too see whats up with 2nd gear...did it everytime ...over 6k rpm cant get into 2nd gear at all!!!!

Yeah that's a disappointment to have that happen last night! No one with V6 has mentionned such a problem but perhaps something snapped or the ECM is taking control over 6k RPM

why didnt you use launch control? or you did?

theres a thread on that with A LOT of people having that issue.
i used to get it each n every time (on a hard launch)
binding or grinding 2nd.
I tried again a couple times last night (missing the opportunity to go with you guys) n no problems.

still, i suggest check out n submit on the thread. maybe itll catch chevy's attention with enough complaints.

Front bumper..they did a not so good job last year. The paint was chipping off..maybe due to the bugs but I wasn`t satisfied and I had them repaint it. Lets hope this one will last longer.
If its nice I might just go and check it out..before I add something else to the car..
