I could give two s--ts less if there was not one person on this planet that liked my car because I do. The camaro has been apart of our lives much longer than they have.

Needless to say she didn't leave and most likely yours will not either, and if she does you have a conversation starter at the gas pumps with THAT beast.
Wow -- girls that get pushy over a ring make me myself....OY...

I'd take a ring from a cracker jack box that came with love (or the keys to a second Camaro....that would work too )

She points out other cars all the time that she likes.. and, 9 out of 10 times, it's something aesthetic about the car. She doesn't understand how one car costs almost 3 times another, etc. or that one car is supposed to look plain or look showy. She just doesn't know or want to know. It's not her thing.

and.. that's all fine.. she doesn't have to or need to.. After the end of her random uniformed commentary, she just says "well, it's your car.... if you like it, then do what ever." She tries to understand when I explain things to her about it, but she's just not a car chick, she sees it as "just a car" (nod to other thread) -- but, she understands that it's my car.

(I see that you're joking about the trading it in thing... but, I wouldn't worry too much about her comments)

Though.... your title was misleading.. I was expecting some pics man!!!!
My family is like that when I talk about my car or my classes -- they just roll their eyes and kinda act like I'm retarded.....they just don't get that I'm allowed to have a passion for things and it does not have to be a desire to get married and have babies -- thanks...I'll stick with my car!!

Funny...

But really, this is a ruff crowd here... I am 45 and in my younger days might have thought like many of the comments posted here...

Relationships are give and take... If all you do is take she will take herself to another man... Careful what you ask for because you might just get it kinda thing....

I mean really... I need more details on the status of the relationship, how long together, if they live and split the bill ect before I'd call this guy names OR put down his GF....

Like I said, ruff crowd here....

OMG, this thread is hilarious.. The OP stated earlier he's keeping the "SS". But, dude - you deserve all that's coming to you on this one for even putting this out there.

I guess your new SS came with a "whip" option that your girlfriend evidently has already put to use.

Hehehe...funny thread indeed! I think even though you're keeping the SS, which you should, the comments are still based in truth over what constitutes give and take in a relationship. It IS also an early sign of control, which later on could be issues.

Point? 19 years old, in college, love motorcycles. I've leaned a bit on my father's motorcycle while at home. While away at college, I learn to control my friends motorcycle well enough to take the test and get a license. I excitedly call my gf up and let her know. Ultimatum: you pickup that license for the bike and we're through!
Stupid me, doesn't pick it up.

years later, after we're married a couple of years, I talk her into letting me retake the test and get a motorcycle...years later, motorcycle issues and LOTS of others, end in divorce...

not worth it! And, hindsight is 20-20

Good luck! You won't need it with the SS, but you will, well...you know
