I used some LED Strips on sale at Advance Auto Parts for 10$! Turned out pretty good to me! :headband:

I used blue Little Dot SMD LED Accent Lights from superbrightleds.com.
They cost 1.99 each and light up the area very well. I'll post pics tonight.

Has anyone made any schematics for some of the most requested options for how to wire the lights?
If not ill make them in a few days once I get the interwebz back in my house. My neighbor ran over an exposed cable hat just so happened to be my cable line. |

Just wanted to bump this for anyone looking for help after getting this for a Christmas gift like I did. Thanks to TonyNo for starting this thread! I decided to do the ambient lighting route. For anyone needing help, see post #307. I have a '10 V6 and used the passenger side wires. Just make sure you use the small purple wire, not the large one like I did at first Here are a few after shots (excuse the dirty mats. Only downside )

Do they light up when you turn on the foot-well lights?

Hello everybody!!! I have spent the last 4 hours reading all 28 pages of the post!!
I have a 2012 transformer edition and I want to add foot lighting . I know some of y'all are going to say " omg can this guy cant read !!!" but I have 20 ways to do this all crashing around in my head right now. I want this foot lighting to be on with the dome lights and use a 12v source to turn them on when I'm driving. I have read so many post about green, purple, and yellow wires. And so many people saying to tapped into these wires in many different spots. I own a air conditioning company , so doing all the wiring will be very easy!!! I just need a clear picture as for where to tap into the wires. I really would like to tap into the wires under the dash , can someone just one more time reply with the location and best wires to tap into. |
