IT'S about time. I am glad the pricing is out. Next step is to get a dealer to gaurantee dilevry by April 20. What are my chances of getting a dealer to gaurantee this? With a panelty of $100 a day it is late.

Im amazed that the SS/RS price is over a grand.. they gave us HALO HID's and tinted rear lights... thats worth the extra 1200???? Hmm... And the 2SS price will almost force this car with a 6 speed auto near the 40's after taxes.. Well atleast we know now.

I am still sure that I am going to buy this car, just am going to have to save for a little bit longer. I knew I was going to have to wait until November of 2009 at the earliest but now as much as I don't want to, I think I will have to wait until May of 2010. I would like to see what the Dodge and Ford fans think of this. Mostly a particular Dodge fan around here that was all too anxious to see the Camaro be priced right along with his precious Challenger. The 6.2 in the base Camaro is going to smoke the similarly priced R/T and edge out the SRT-8 in a straight line and smoke it in any kind of handling comparison.

So more kids buy the Camaro than the Challenger because they don't know about the heritage? Is that really so bad? Its just one more stop to the Challenger falling in the hands of some spoiled punk and it will keep the Challenger that much more exclusive on the road.

I'm personally happy to see the price is so low on the Camaro.

Besides that... Either everyone will be pissed over poor build and part quality of the Camaro... or GM will find that there losing money at the price and jack it up next model year.

I love the challenger outside but disagree on the interior. I like the camaros interior better.. little retro but modern. The biggest strike on the challeger is that cheapo wheel, red on seats on srt regardless of color choice..wtf.. and they could have done better with gauges, Alot of thought on body but they went bargain basement parts bin on the inside...it deserves better in my opinion.

Seriously for all who don't like the Camaro interior, I don't get it. When you look at the 69, you can see the similarities. I mean, isn't this what we wanted for the Challenger? Don't get me wrong, I'm a Mopar Loyalist, always have been, but I think GM did much better on the Camaro interior similar to what Ford did for the 05 mustang retro look, then Dodge ever has. Outside, Dodge rules all the way! I love the center meter guages just like the 69 marro! I wish Dodge could have gone a little more retro/nostalgic on the inside like Ford and Chevy did. Otherwise, external, Dodge has one this battle hands down. Just my opinion.

what this means is that all of us challenger owners are going to need to seriouslly modifying our hemis to combat all of these cheaper, yet, much quicker camaros! we have a few months to get ready. its just like the article i read the other day...."just like the last muscle car wars in the 70's, the challengers look better, the camaros outperformed, and the mustangs outsold." You said in another thread that you could spend a paltry 2.5-3k and spank an srt. Have you shopped performance parts for these cars yet? I have over 2k in mine already and I would bet that would be the absolute minimum to spend to keep up with a stock srt in a straight line. That is not all this car is about. It turns and brakes rather well. You would spend that paltry 2.5-3k just to get the brakes up to par. I understand we should not get worked up by the cars we have and let it take over our rational thought but statements like yours saying the camaro will be much quicker than the challenger is just dripping with chevy love.I believe any car guy worth their salt when looking at the specs would have to agree. There is a good possibilty that the camaro can edge out the srt challenger due to weight but saying it would be much quicker easily shows bias. This is the main reason chevy guys have gotten a bad rap with me. They can't be happy and just go off the specs and say it could be a toss up like any rational person would do. They have to say it will spank everything else on the block when they haven't even hit the market. The local chevy guy at our shop always has his yap running about racing me in my hemi pickup. Trouble is he can never make it to the line. Even when his stuff is broke he wants to race. I say let the cars do the talking and quit all the paper drag racing. When the chips fall if I get beat by a camaro or a modded r/t challenger I will still sleep just as good at night.
