There are many interesting get together spots in the metro.

Goldies in Prairie City has excellent hand pounded tenderloins
Sugar Shack in Altoona
Pleasant Hill Diner in Pleasant Hill
Cozy Cafe in Urbandale
George the Chili King in Des Moines, an old style diner.

All but Goldies have been hang out spots for car enthusiasts.

I would recommend we try not to have a get together in December. Too hard to plan around other plans.

the electric go carting place is MB 2 in Grimes. It has two small meeting rooms and one larger one. They have pop and hot pretzels for sale and there is a pizza delivery that delivers to MB 2. The price for the go carting is average. I can't remember the exact price. When go carting you are required to wear their helmets with face shields down.

Wasn't me krusher. It's been a week since I last drove mine.

I agree with Jim kirk. December would be difficult with all family plans for the holiday and November seems to soon. Lol. Maybe January or February.

Hoping everyone is still enjoying their cars. Put another couple hundred on mine over the weekend and rolled over 10,000 miles. ALMOST sad to see it but well worth it. Awesome summer!

Last weekend drove mine to Louisville KY. That was a1000 mile trip. Averaged 24 mpg doing 75 mph. With the 3:91 gearing .... That not so bad. (And the valet guy after I warned him his body parts broken if he damages my car..... When he returned it upon check out -was so excited to drive it. He said it set off alarms in the parking garage being loud. Lol)

Now here in Vegas for the SEMA show. Couple of hard walking days ahead but it'll be worth it"

10,000 miles is just getting broken in. I have somewhere around 225,000 to 230,000 mine. Well on parts on mine, I am not sure what percentage of the car is from 1977 anymore. Camaros are just to much fun to drive.

Hello all, I have been a Camaro fan most of my life. My aunt owns a 68 SS/RS and use to give me rides all the time. I raced (dirt track) a 1978 Camaro a few years in SW Iowa. I recently purchased a 2014 2SS/RS 1LE and look forward to going to some shows/cruises next year. Hope to meet new people and enjoy the car.
