Just took delivery of my 2014 ZL1 on Monday and am in need of winter tires. Currently I have 285/35/20 on the front and 305/35/20 Eagle F1s. Know very little about snow tires, any advice would be appreciated.

I would suggest the 285/35R20 on all 4 corners for winter. Pirelli Sotto Zero 3 would be a top pick.

New to the forum. Just picked up a new '15 2SS as part of Chevy's 20% off Black Friday deal and now it's time to get some winter tires and rims. Just ordered a 18" set with MSW Type 19 black rims and Blizzak DM-V1s on closeout. Talked to Rudy - great experience just like all my previous ones at Tire Rack on other cars/tires.
Ordered at 4:30ish and the tires were mounted w/ TPMS, balanced, and shipped same day. Can't wait to put them on, just need to order some pads due to the roller skates... Thanks Rudy! |

Rudy if I lived near your company I would give you my 2016 for a few days if it meant getting some tire and wheel packages available.

18" or 19" snow tires for my Camaro
Quote:
If I get the 19" Pirelli or Blizzak tires to fit my current factory wheels, the tires alone will cost me about $1000. If I go to an 18" tires, I can get four new wheels for $480, and then four 18" Blizzak tires on special for $512.80 http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....cleSearch=true Since the cost is about the same for either option, is it better to go with a smaller tire in the snow? I was thinking the 18" option was better as well because of any damage from rock salt. It's probably better for me to put my factory wheels away for the winter and buy the cheaper 18" wheels. Does anyone have an opinion on which is the better option? I live in Pittsburgh, PA and we have horrible roads and lots of snow! |

Yes going with 18's would work better in snow. I would recommend that route. Call me if you would like to discuss.

Still not cold enough during the day to put my winters on. Still in the mid to upper 50's here. Weirdly warm for this time of year
