Hey everyone! Vince and I are back!! He has a show at Q's Brewhouse Las Cruces this Saturday (9/20) from 7-10. Some of us were going to get together to say bye to Danvillekidd & Shellie before they leave. We're going to meet there about 6pm. Please let us know if you can make it so we can have enough seats and spaces for the cars.

Whole Enchilada Fiesta Classic & Modern Car Show!
Genny, Vinnie-Mac, and Daniel, it's so good to hear that you are all back in the area and it's wonderful to hear that you are all doing great! Genny, count me in for the 20th!
Hey there everyone, some of you may have already heard from me but I wanted to let everyone here in Camaro5 EP/LC know that I have been put in charge of this year's Classic & Modern Car Show for The Whole Enchilada Fiesta that is taking place next Saturday, September 27th. It was a last minute deal late last week in lieu of a previous group who committed to do the event dropped out and an individual with the Whole Enchilada committee has seen our displays that we've put together at The Kars 4 Kids Car Show at Young Park back in June, the Transformers Weekend Premiere we did at Cineport 10 in July and also the Comic-Con gig 2 weeks ago. Well, they contacted us to see if Camaro5 EP/LC would like to be the key club organizer for the Whole Enchilada Fiesta Classic & Modern Car Show for 2014! I volunteered myself to help put everything together right when they asked me since they needed an answer and right afterwards had to go out west for the weekend and sent out a few feelers to see if the group would like to participate and gladly a bunch said yes, which makes me very happy. The folks at the Whole Enchilada Fiesta (WEF) will place our group name as the organizer of the Car Show and the ball is currently rolling with invites to other clubs and individuals by letting them know about the show taking place. The unfortunate deal is that we've only had 2 weeks to do all of this and was able to attend a committee meeting on Wednesday evening. The great thing though is that we have some funds already in stock for awards that they have already listed and they will also be providing 2 canopies, chairs, and 6 WEF volunteer t-shirts for the event. Now I am sure that a few of you are all "Whoa-whoa-whoa, volunteer what?" Well, we are needing volunteers for this event to help register, guide cars and help set everyone up for the show and assist with any questions or concerns that vehicle owners may have. So the jist is, we are looking for volunteers from Camaro5 for the show on Saturday. We only have 6 shirts, but the more that help, the smoother the event will go and also more exposure we as a group get with the entire automotive community in the region. For those that wish to volunteer, we would need to meet at 9am so that we can go through a run down of how we are going to prepare and run the show during registration, vehicle setup and throughout the show. There will be security provided that can help assist IF the possibility may arise of a situation which we highly doubt, so that's a big weight off our shoulders, lol. Here are the duties so far that will need to be handled during registration: - Registration/Welcome Booth (Register cars, hand out tickets, and info) - Showcase Guides to show area (Guide vehicles to car show area) - Layout Planners vehicles and lining up (Assist w/parking cars neatly and evenly) We will also needs folks to help spread the word, so if you know of any individuals whom may have a car that would look great at any type of car show, please notify them of the Whole Enchilada Fiesta Classic & Modern Car Show. As you know, there is only 1.5 weeks to the show which really doesn't give the event much time to find and spread the word appropriately but if we could have everyone get at least one (1) other individual to bring a car, that would be sooooo helpful. We are hoping that the event can get 50 cars to appear, but if more show, that would be amazing! Las Cruces MOPAR is bring their cars including two (2) Dodge Vipers, SVT/Mustangs Elite have been contacted and are trying to put together an elite group of their Cobras, 302s, Shelbys and such for the show, The Las Cruces Horsemen are looking into going, Cruisers Unlimited, Southwest Classic Car Club, Southwest MOPAR, Challenger Coalition Car Club, Gran Turismo, The Las Cruces Rodrunners, Sweet Desires Lowrider Club have all been sent contacts and of course Camaro5 we hope can make a huge spotlight appearance So if you can help spread the word that would be great!!! Again guys, any type of help would be greatly appreciated and as well as vehicle representation would be fantastic and it only helps us out in the exposure. Thank You all for everything that you have done and also for coming out to these last minute gigs that have popped up on us the past 2 months, it means a whole lot! The info for the show is provided below so if you are interested please fill out the form and post that you will be attending the 2014 Whole Enchilada Fiesta Classic & Modern Car Show present by Camaro5 EP/LC! The Whole Enchilada Fiesta Classic & Modern Car Show Saturday, September 27th, 2014 1:00pm - 6:00pm (5hr. Show) (Automobile Setup: 11:00am - 12:30pm) Magg Softball Field at Meerscheidt Recreation Center Las Cruces, NM (Car Show terrain will be held on grass, which will help reduce amount of heat in area.) (Canopies are welcomed.) Registration: $25 per automobile (Each registered automobile will come with one (1) entry ticket to the Whole Enchilada Fiesta for Saturday only. Other remaining individuals with registered vehicle will need to purchase an entry ticket at full price.) CLICK HERE FOR REGISTRATION FORM ![]() Please print, read and fill out form and bring to registration booth on South End of Magg Softball Field at Meercheidt Recreation Center with automobile(s) registration fee(s). Debit and Credit cards cannot be accepted for this event. Layout on directions on how to get to entrance and where to register will be emailed out to those that respond back. MAP LAYOUT OF WHERE TO REGISTER AND HOW TO ENTER SHOW WILL BE PROVIDED AT LATER DATE TO HELP - Unfortunately there will not be any allowance for groups/clubs to save spaces for automobiles arriving at a later time. If groups wish to park next to each other, everyone will need to arrive together during setup. Once The Whole Enchilada Fiesta Classic & Modern Car Show has begun at 1:00pm there will not be any acceptance of late arrivals to enter the show area and all automobiles participating in the show must stay in show area until the end of the show at 6:00pm unless an emergency requires of the such. - Music will allowed to be played at the festival but the volume level will be required to be at a low to moderate level in respect to other registered show entrants and as well as fiesta attendees. The Whole Enchilada Fiesta Classic & Modern Car Show is a family event so any music with heavy profanity, disrespectful terms, slang or inappropriate suggestives will be requested to either be lowered or turned off entirely. The Whole Enchilada Fiesta staff and show runners have full rights to change and/or update this rule for any reason when need be, so please be mindful of the music. - In all due respect, outside alcohol WILL NOT be allowed nor tolerated during The Whole Enchilada Fiesta Classic & Modern Car Show and all parties involved will be removed from the show and vacated from event and fiesta premises without refund. A beer garden will be available at The Whole Enchilada Fiesta just North of the car show. The Whole Enchilada was established by Mr. Roberto Estrada and several community supporters in 1980. Since then the purpose of the whole enchilada fiesta has been to show case the best of what Las Cruces has to offer. Local companies are used to support the fiesta activities and stimulate our local economy. Over the three day festival vendors will expose their business to over 30,000 people. Local youth teams and school booster clubs will man soda selling stations and earn a portion of the profits for their organization. In Enchilada Land non-profit organizations will provide information about their services to fiesta goers. As the New Enchilada Fiesta Board of Directors looks towards the future they want to ensure the funds raised from the Fiesta go back towards securing entertainment and materials necessary for next year’s fiesta along with giving back to the Las Cruces and surrounding areas. The board is also excited about creating a scholarship fund or endowment at NMSU for local high school graduates. While the details of this new scholarship fund will not go into effect this 2014 calendar year, the Board looks forward to this exciting new venture for the Las Cruces Community. The 2014 Whole Enchilada Fiesta Classic & Modern Car Show is a new beginning to help expand and showcase some of the best automobiles that have graced out roads from the early classy Ford A Bodies to the new performance driven and stylish modern muscle cars within the border region. With this and your and group's participation, we can help make The Whole Enchilada Fiesta a much grander festival than it already is, so let's showcase the best wheels on the road that the borderlands has to offer! Hey guys were still planning on heading to Q's just running a little late. Don't save us a space for the car though, the driveway is too muddy to get it out. See ya all in a few.
