You can get an M&P15 Sport for around $575.

Do you mean small as in capacity wise?

There are 50 round drums, but they aren't all that great. I know of one company that makes a 25 round magazine for the 10/22.

Not really going to be reloading for rimfire. And mag size issues in .22 rifles always interest me. Sure, a ten round mag seems small. But if it were 100, you still need to reload each and every round you fire...Takes little time to reload a ten rounder, and 10x the time to reload the 100 rounder. Not really an issue to my thinking.

.22s have been used by the US military.

The M22 rifle was a military trainer that mimicked the Springfield model 1903, and various braches of US Service have used .22 pistols in competition.

A buddy of mines son has Colts version of the AR15 22, Seems like a great rife and is a blast to plink with. He paid less than 400 used at a local gun shop. CCI seems to shoot the best.

I was thinking more in terms of combat use . . . you wouldn't train zero-experience fighter pilots in the F35 either.

I think my son has a 25-round rimfire magazine for an AR-style rifle he got for his kid. Haven't seen it personally, as I live in NJ where such things are officially frowned upon. The 10/22 magazine doesn't take much time or effort to load, though you can empty it pretty quickly.

My bank account is depleted because of threads like this! haha! But it's soooo much fun. Took the mrs to get a 9mm for her. We looked at 3 guns. An HK, Sig and a Walther. She tried the sig and didn't like the grip plus it was too bulky for her hands. Next the HK. She likes this gun because it had a nice grip but again, too bulky. Finally tries the Walther and bingo, we have a winner! So with no further adew, I give you a Walther PPS 9mm. Here is a comparison with my Mod 2. My mod 2 is a subcompact so its not very big, but the walther is a more stream lined gun easily worn under clothes because no sharp points.

Wondering if I should get this. Anyone familiar with this company? It's a nice deal so I may pull the trigger (pun intended) on this one. It's $614 and I can pick it up today. Just spent $500 for a handgun though. It's a IO INC Rpk tactical AK.

That must be a new design. I had a PPS in .40, and it was much more square than that one. If I'd have gotten it in a 9mm I may still have it, but the .40 was too snappy, and it had extractor issues.

EDIT: Aha. It's a PPS M2. I approve.

Aaarrrgggg! I went to pick up my AK today and i was "delayed" on the paperwork?! I never even heard of this until today. I've read the reasons why but I'm disappointed that it happened. Guess I'll have to wait.
