I have seen some stories of more, most of less. I think the general rule is .080", but there isn't really any way to know if you can do more or not. You would just have to try it out and see what happens. I tend to agree with you. Ever since I saw Zeke post his new pistons I've been mulling it over. They sure are shiny!
I know the feeling!!!! I thought the same thing when I saw them.
I have been thinking hard about saving and getting a LSX short block and building it for VVT as I get the money.

Ha, I know, I was joking around.

All I did was drive. That was clearly stated, lol, so I didn't break anything. Even great parts will fail when they are involved in a poorly orchestrated system.

Hopefully we all get our systems orchestrated properly this time through.

Lsa vs ls3 exhaust manifolds...per this link...are different:
http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum...40i-LS3-TR6060
So I got curious...grabbed a friends lsa's off a V...yup, different. Curious if camaro lsa manifolds are different from ls3. I bring this up because it appears my research on headers when using the caddy lsa as the tester on proof or not headers help may have not been apples to apples. Just thought I would share that link.
Makes me wonder if the lsa manifolds would gain hp over ls3 on a car that is fighting emissions restrictions. The new ls7/z28 manis won't have cat provisions so they won't be a viable upgrade...this lsa caddy info may be useful...but would need to be tested for sure.

Hahaha. I thought custom was always better? The 5th engine in a 5th gen is clearly a charm. I think you've found your unicorn.
