If it dropped that much wieght, you wouldn't get that much hp added. It's unlikely the chassis would be able to handle the stress without the use of carbon fiber and other exotic materials which would drive up costs past what a Camaro is.

Regardless of Alpha platform or weight reduction, the Z/28 will beat the GT500. The GT500 can barely beat the SS as it stands now.

Not really. A bad run in a 2010 GT500 is about the same as a good run in an SS, but that is no longer the case with the 2011's. The 2011 GT500 easily tops the SS.

That's a stretch saying that. Besides were talking about the 2011 GT500 here and it has no problem beating the SS. On a road course the SS isn't even in the same ball park. On the quarter mile it's close but no cigar. Close only counts in horse shoes and hand grenades.

Since you been there and done that ,are you the only one with a 2012Z/28.

Please post pics so we can see it. AS far as a supercharged SS, that doesn't count it's not factory HP. A GT500 owner can change a pulley and add 100hp just like that ,so we could get into this pissing match all day long about modded cars. Factory HP and performance is the only way to compare two cars unless your comparing modded cars to modded cars.

Doesn't count? Listen... my original comment was a 2012 Z/28 will beat a GT500, so what's your beef? I added the comments about a supercharged 2010 Camaro to show when you compare apples to apples or in this case supercharger to supercharger that the camaro wins.
