I did some more testing by putting the remote in contact with my bumper several inches from the module and it works flawlessly.

I am wondering if there is something in the bumper that restricts the signal. I was having the same problem with my new light bar. The remote would not work 5 feet from the light, but 2ft and closer works like a charm.
That is interesting. Have you tried replacing the battery in the remote? We appreciate your business and support.

I will call you shortly. I apologize for the issues and we'll get it straightened out.

That is interesting. We had 1 issue locally but we resealed the light and it is fine now. Our test car is driven daily in all weather conditions and we've never had an issue. We can send out some sealing tape and that in conjunction with some silicon would probably take care of any issues. Please feel free to call, email or PM me anytime with questions.

Have had mine installed for months now and they work great! Remote was replaced once and that was the only issue. Everybody who sees them, loves them. I leave them on the 7 color change mode at shows and they get a lot of attention and great comments.

Sorry. I'm not seeing any halos in this picture. One too many distractions.

Finally received my replacement remote control after apparently sitting in the mail room for almost three weeks (darn APO system ). Was worried I wasn't going to get it at all because after JDP sent it out, USPS announced shipping Li batteries via APO/DPO is now illegal.

Anyways, the new remote worked great and the system is amazing. I'm not a huge fan that the white has a blue/purple tint, but its hardly ever going to be on white. Thanks JDP!

I would love to get another remote, just to have on hand as a back up. I mean you never know. Without it, you're fragged! Does anyone have an idea where they can be obtained outside of JDP? I'm sure they have them specifically for their kits.

I have been reading about everyone's problems and was happy for me that the only problem I had was the remote needing to be re-sealed. But now I am having another problem. When I have the halos on white the right side turns yellow after a second, cyan flips between cyan and green, purple flips between purple and red. The only colors that stay correct are red, green, blue, orange, and yellow. This only happens to the right side halo.
I am not happy. :(
Does anyone have similar problems or know a fix? I will obviously talk to JDP.

My halos stopped working all together and I've sent a message to JDP about it but I haven't gotten a respose yet. Seems that I have a bad switch. Seems like if I play with the wires on the back of the switch the halos go on and off. The connections look good and a tech I had at the house seems to think its the pins on the switch itself as we checked all connections, fuses and everything else with a meter box or ohm meter. Right now we've managed to get the halos on by manipulating the wire on the switch (which I believe its the center pin on the back of the switch) but a new switch seems to be the fix. Aside from that, I have no issues with mine and its a great product. I am scared though if I should loose the remote I could be fu*(%ked! and the reason I would like to secure a second one.

Not quite sure what is happening here. However, there are some clues. You mention white turns to yellow. White uses all three colors...red, green, and blue. Since it turns from white to yellow, that means that blue is dropping out. Yellow uses red and green. Also, cyan is green and blue, so it also sounds like blue is dropping out there too. I would suspect a bad connection for the blue wire, except you say that when you turn it to blue only, it works. Does blue also drop out of the magenta, leaving you with red? If blue always works by itself, then it sounds like a bad controller. It could also be a problem with the black wire from that halo (positive).

We have extra remotes being built on the next run and they will be offered separately. We'll post them on our website as well as here on the forums once we get them; they will be about $25 including shipping.

No problem! That bis a bummer about the delay but I'm glad you got it! You can run the system through the fade and pause it on whatever color you'd like including white. When you turn them back on they will save that setting. Please feel free to call, email or PM me anytime with questions. We appreciate your support and have a great day!

What Halos?!

We'll take not of that and include more tape going forward. We haven't had any issues here but with feedback we'll make adjustments.

We haven't had a ton of issues on the first run of Halo Kits and we've taken care of every issue we've been aware of. I responded to your PM with a few suggestions and the suggestions below are excellent as well. This is the first time I've heard of an issue like yours but we'll get it figured out.

Please feel free to call, email or PM me anytime with questions. We appreciate your support and have a great day!

PM responded to and we'll get it sorted. We appreciate your business and support.

Great suggestions and thank you for taking the time to respond. This is the first issue we've had like this but we'll get it figured out. In our 10+ months of testing before the release we didn't have a lot of issues and all in all the issues have been limited. We've taken care of everyone who has contacted us and the next batch will be revised to address some of the initial issues we've had. Please feel free to call, email or PM me anytime with questions. We appreciate your interest in our products and have a great day!

Kind regards,

Jordan Priestley
