WOW, all you guys doing purple/green/red/blue, am I the only one doing standard white? :d'
I have basic white!

And I have a question I'm doing 4 LED strips, can't I just put all the grounds together and ground it, and then combine all the power wires and tap it into the gray wire? Or should I put a fuse somewhere in the wire tapping to the gray wire.
Yes. It's just safe to fuse between strips and the grey wire if you DIY.

Has anyone tried sticking the red wire of the LEDs into the connector slot that the grey wire is going into? Just wondering if there is enough room and if it will work. Thanks.

Not tried that, but, it may work as long as you can get a good connection and keep it from falling out.

Also, how does the connector block drop down. I am sure there are tabs to press but not seeing them. Thanks.

So the T-taps actually splice into the sides of the wire or can the T-taps actually cut the wire in 2 pieces? This is what I am worried about; hence the above questions about getting power differently. How careful do I need to be when installing the T-taps. Thanks.

It depends on the t-taps that you use. If you use ours, or, regular, red t-taps, they do not split the wire, they just touch it after piercing the insulation.

The only, real problem with t-taps is that people usually use the wrong size. If you use the correct size, they are a sound connection method. Period.

Also, in case anyone doesn't know, I'm TonyNo's alter-ego.

Cool, yeah I will be using the red ones.

So can the T-tap be put on with one hand? There is no way that I can get both hands on it. Hoping I can get it secured on to the wire to where it will hold itself on, then get a plyers on it to crimp down. Any tips much appreciated.

That may work. It's been so long since I've used regular t-taps that I'm not sure. I found some great ones that are screwed on, not closed with pliers. Much better, IMHO.

Tip: Put the seat all the way back, the steering wheel all the way up, and make yourself small?

I just installed mine and I did not use taps. Im not a fan of splicing so I just stuck it in the slot and used the smallest zip tie I could find to hold it in place. Its working great so far.

Just wanted to say thanks again! Used the grey wire above the gas pedal on a 2013 convertible and it worked perfect.

Later,
Brad
