Gov't Employee. Audiologist. Bought my 1st Car in 2003 and paid in full. It's on its last legs now so I've been saving for the last two years for this one.

After 35 years of working in a Refinery for both AMOCO and BP, I "retired", took the lump sump payout, invested it, and went to work for a contractor in Process Safety leading HAZOP/LOPA Studies. The pay is phenominal, but it took me a long time to get there. I bought my first camaro last year and I am 58 years old. I finally attained the station of life to afford my dream car and even though it is a used 2010, the sucker is beautiful and catches looks everywhere I go. I think they hear it first cause it is a road rumbler, then they see it!!

I was 21 when I first bought my Camaro SS. I never went to college for a career though. I work In a school district. So I recommend looking for a government job. Working for the city, or maybe learning a trade.

I am 24, and I have a great job! I work 11pm to 7am. Nights. I basically am a machine all night where I work, which is at a hot dog and hamburger bun bakery production plant. I stand pretty much in one spot all night and pack the rolls and buns into trays. It's awesome and fun! Oh, and there is no air conditioning except the break room and offices. 110 degrees, even at night on the production floor.
As you could probably figure out, I hate my job. Got sucked in there because of my dad, who worked in that place for about 35 years. The pay is good, he said. It's not so bad, he said..... ![]() I'm at the point where I'd rather have a job at a grocery store stocking shelves than working where I do now, even if it meant I'd take a $5-10 pay cut. But then I probably won't be able to afford my Camaro payments, lol. I'm in a bit of a pickle I guess. I'm learning the hard way, that which has been mentioned many times in this thread. Choose something you love as your career, otherwise you'll end up like me.... ![]() ![]()
