Which translates into Damaged Camaro Owners Club!

Front bumper took a hit from an arrant object on the freeway. I believe it was a front license plate and bracket. Guy in front of me hit it and it poped right up into my car. Nasty gouges in the bumper and I need a new tire. $1300. I only have to pay $100 deductible but still sucks! There goes more mod money down the freakin tubes.

First mark: 475 miles

I like the LS3 emblem. Looks good, but the color matching for your paint will definately add a professional "finished" touch.

is it flat or curved? i for one think that emplems and decals that specify the motor look better on the hood where the cowl is raised close to the windshield.

There are much better pictures on eBay where I got them. Just don't get on me for what I paid for these things. I went back and forth. Curved. I am not positive where I am going to put them. Maybe we all can see while at a drive-in and place them then?

They are A+++ quality. I was worried due to the cost, but very happy now.

Found out today it will probably be Tuesday before I get the car. Everything being done, time for paint to dry etc. They will also be waiting for 30 days for the Finish and the under coating from Ziebart since the stripes and the paint needs to cure for that long. 50% tint will be done with the good 99% heat reduction/UV, (metal something) tint.

I can't wait.

Darn the luck... I am sure you are upset and the whole thing went by in slow motion. I bet I speak for all of us by saying our hearts are going out to you but with the insurance you should be able to get it back to like new.

Yea its not a big deal. Only $100 deductible so ehhh but I hate the fact that I have a 1 week old car that needs paint work. The shop said they will fix the scratches then clear the entire bumper. What sucks is I need new stripes b/c there are small pieces on the bumper. Body shop called the dealer and they said the h/h stripes are not available?!? The body shop guy said his striper can "make" the piece and I will never know the difference? We shall see. Also these tires are freaking expensive! I do get a new one on the claim though.


50% tint is not enough. You will barely notice. Mine is 15% for sure go with the lifetime tint. pay the extra money and get the good stuff.

I don't care who you are, it is a big deal. Any scratch, but definitely one on a camaro and a week after you got it. We feel for you.

I love your tint, but I wanted tot keep it street legal. That is the only reason I am going with the 50%. Would prefer darker, but... Your tint looks great.

Hope they will be able to make it look like it did before the accident. I have faith.

Come to Summit Racing in Akron on Sept 12/13 for the Fbody reunion. Do a search for it. NEOCC is the sponsor this year. Last year it was at INDY. Good times!

I had to go pick up some new, old parts today. It is still filthy, but she is taking shape. Got tint, exhaust, engine cover and rally stripes. Just need GFX paintied and put on. Sounds like I will be waiting to pick it up until Teusday.
Here are the most recent pix. I have not seen muffler's quite like these before. Now I see why it is so quiet... kind of like a minnie van when we get them... just kidding, definitely not a minnie van, not there is anything wrong with them if you drive one...
